First time staying at this location, and overall I really enjoyed my stay. Despite a few concerns, the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. The location is excellent, most of the things we wanted to do were within walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. Several staff members were friendly, and when I had a concern, the supervisor was very approachable and reassuring, which I appreciated. There were a few minor issues. The couch in our room was severely damaged, with rips exposing the inside, which wasn’t very appealing. I did enjoy the complimentary happy hour; however, when I asked the bartender for mint leaves, I was told I would need to purchase a drink rather than use the happy hour option, which was a bit surprising. Additionally, early morning construction around 6–7 a.m. woke my partner and me, causing us to cancel some early plans due to feeling tired. Despite these small hiccups, I still enjoyed my stay. The location was walkable, convenient, and overall made for a pleasant experience.

This hotel is ideally situated in the center of town offering easy walks or quick Uber rides to all the locations you want to see. Most of the staff was professional and friendly. The cooks at breakfast need to work on customer service skills. On one occasion, observed a line cook yelling at a person because he stepped out of line waiting for his breakfast while on another situation, observed a cook playing with his cell phone trying to video himself which messed up the orders. The valet were top notch! While the hotel does have a full bar, the drinks are expensive and not well made. I ordered an old fashion which cost over 20.00 and would have been off buying a pre-made one at a liquor store. The room was great offering space. The hotel has established quiet hours which was great. The front staff is knowledgeable about the surrounding area and willing to offer helpful suggestions. Only issue i had with the room, especially considering the cost, was the bathroom. It was a little dirty from lack of a "total cleaning" with apparently water damage on the door and wall around the shower head. Despite these minor things, the hotel stay was excellent.

Great hotel. They work hard to please. We asked for extra blankets and pillows and they were prompt. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding. You’ve got choices from omelets that are made to order, to sausages/bacon, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, waffles, toast. The dining area gets crowded, but most folks have somewhere to go so you can generally find a place to sit. I ordered dinner one evening and was happy with the range of items. It’s not too far from the metro, so you can walk to the metro to move around DC. The staff wants you to enjoy your stay.

I was really disappointed with our stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC. The hotel room itself had several minor blemishes, and the beds were very uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. On our second morning, we had no working shower and had to wait hours for the water to be restored, which was extremely inconvenient. The pool area was another big issue—there was no proper ventilation, the chlorine smell was overwhelming, and it burned our eyes just being in there. Breakfast was honestly terrible. I’ve had better food in the military, which says a lot. On top of that, the hotel was overwhelmingly packed with people, and there was a homeless camp set up right outside the front door, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe. The only reason I’m giving this hotel two stars is because of its location—it’s close to everything in DC. Other than that, this place is not worth the money. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

We tried to cancel our reservation 36 hrs prior due to both my wife and son having the flu. Front desk wanted nothing to do with assisting us. Booked reservation through Chase Travel and they too tried to assist us with either cancelling or altering reservation date, however front desk was not having any of it. As 17 year Hilton Honors members, a credit to use at a different date would have been the correct way to handle it. Cannot say anything about the hotel itself, but customer service is lacking at this hotel. Hopefully they can do better moving forward for other loyal customers….
