I had one night prior to going to National Harbor and I wanted to stay in DC. I found a room at the canopy and figured. Let me stay here until I can go to national Harbor. The hotel was convenient off the metro. It was about a 10 minute walk from L’Enfant Plaza. The hotel is in its own little cul-de-sac with other businesses, and I honestly did not realize how extensive the wharf was until this trip. I arrived in the first floor of the building where the hotel is and was shown to the elevator where I asked them if they could hold my bag while I was exploring since check-in was not until three they were very kind and properly had my bag secured and offered that the rooftop was available. I wandered the Wharf; found lunch, and explored the restaurants. I came back after 3 pm. The staff was very kind and prompt. They remembered me and gave me my bag, and pointed me in the right direction for my room. Their elevators are pretty cool, you scan your card and press what floor you are going on. The elevator dashboard points you to the right elevator. I was on the 4th floor. The room was clean, quaint and well equipped. The full length mirror was helpful. There was a Nespresso machine, a glass water bottle and glasses, and a refrigerator. I really appreciated that there was filtered water and ice down the hallway and I kept the water bottle filled.my favorite part was the tv said my name and “Welcome”. The view from the room was incredible. I watched the sunset from the room. That night, I walked to a restaurant in the Penn Quarter. It was around 20 mins and a beautiful walk through the National Mall. The bed was comfortable. I watched the sunrise from the room. It was a beautiful way to stay in DC and enjoy what the Wharf and local DC had to offer before going down to National Harbor.

The only place I stay in DC. Close to government buildings, Reagan Airport, and lots of dinner options within walking distance. Starbucks next door. The Wharf area feels safe. Check-in is not a street level. You either sherpa your bag up the stairs one level or take the parking garage elevator.

Very average. There were so many things I thought were sub-par. Our room wasn’t cleaned daily, the in bedroom coffee machine didn’t work initially, then wasn’t stocked up, the gym is ridiculous! The staff are great though and the views towards the Wharf are nice. Also, good location.
