I am very disappointed with the way they deal with missing item. My smart phone showed that my smart watch is left in the room and in fact I contacted them just after I checked out in the morning while I am in the airport. They asked me to report it through their system but it kept coming back said they couldn't find it. They also asked me to update any details which I did but unfortunately the system did not allow me to write more words. Yes, the room is clean but one time the room service guy hung up the towel that i purposely put on floor to be washed. I have to say that the service desk is brilliant.

Great location for a jump spot in the city or seeing a show at Cap One Arena! Right across the street from GP/Chinatown Metro stop for easy access! The group spaces and basement bar here are epic! Bar is a little pricey, but our bartender was epic and you can use your Hilton F&B credit here. It's also normally easy to find a deal on a room here since they are indeed about as small as you'll ever find (seriously, TINY). If basic accomodations and small spaces aren't comfortable for you, this just isn't your place, because that's how its designed and ideal for solo or couples. Even friend couples as they offer bunk beds! Pro Tip- Ask for a Washington Monument view or use the app to pick a high floor room facing towards the mall. Nice little perk even though they don't advertise that any rooms have this view or even charge extra.

My husband booked this hotel on our trip to DC (just the two of us and just one night), and he DID NOT realize it was a micro hotel. (** Adding this edit for fairness to the hotel** My husband doesn't pay close attention to details like that so I'm sure the website said it and he probably missed that part lol. Absolutely zero shade at the hotel here.) Honestly it makes sense for the price/location. That was a new experience for us both lol, but the hotel is lovely and the rooms were very clean! The staff was friendly, and the rooms came with ear plugs and a noise machine since it's right on a busy street. But the location was absolutely perfect for us! We parked right near by in a parking garage (that we got a discount at for using the hotel!) and we were able to walk go the Capital One arena for our show and then we were able to walk to our choice of restaurant for dinner.

Good choice, as long as you know what you're getting into! The hotel is in a great spot, convenient for walking to lots of attractions and great food, and there's a Metro station right across the street. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were clean. The rooms are very small, my wife and I are not large people and we kept having to squeeze past each other in the room, as well as step over our suitcase at the foot of the bed which barely fit between bed and wall. No mini fridge and no microwave in the rooms, and no ice machine or vending on the floors. They do have a water bottle filler every other floor. The hotel does have a nice cafe and a couple bar spaces so you have snack and drink options, but I really missed not having a mini fridge available. All in all, I'd stay again for the price and location, but there are some caveats.

Motto by Hilton in Washington, DC is a clean, modern, tiny hotel, perfect if you’re traveling light and just need a comfortable place for two people. The room is small but well designed and good enough for a short stay. There’s no on-site parking, but that wasn’t a problem at all. We parked at the Gallery Place garage less than a block away for $27.99. Just be sure to use the link on the Motto hotel website to get complimentary in and out privileges, which was super convenient. Overall, a solid option if you want a clean place in a great location and don’t mind compact rooms.
