This is a great hotel that truly lives up to what you expect at a Hilton property. My travels in and out of New Haven had me staying here twice in a week and both times all of the staff were excellent. Always helpful, friendly and incredibly accommodating. The on site restaurant/bar was great and reasonably priced and the lattes they serve are A+. The rooms were spacious and modern and the hotel was clean from the lobby to the guest floors.
This is where I'll be staying when I return to New Haven and certainly where I'd recommend a friend to stay.

The hotel was lovely. We got there late, so we didn't get to enjoy the amenities much. The room was a double queen, which was plenty - if a tad bit small. The bathroom was great and I appreciated the motion sensor lights in the middle of the night. The beds were comfy, the black out shades could have let us sleep till noon.
The breakfast was delicious, but with only two wait staff, they were a bit busy.
Overall a good time.

Our flight at Tweed was canceled due to snow, so we booked a last-minute stay at Hotel Marcel and were blown away. Beautiful hotel, spotless room, and outstanding service. They even accommodated a last-minute dinner order and ran the shuttle in the snow to make sure we caught our flight when Lyfts weren’t available. We’ll absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marcel New Haven. The building is beautiful with a modern design that gives creates a comfortable aesthetic. The location is super convenient as well, being right next to IKEA and very close to the city, which made getting to places very easy.
The highlight of our stay was the front desk staff, Louie. He was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome right away. Because of such a great experience, this has become our regular stop during Christmas, and we’ll always stay here whenever on our way to New York. Would absolutely recommend!

WASTEFUL. (Only applies to function room)
I recently booked a function room at this establishment for my networking group and had a relatively positive experience. However at the end of the evening when my group asked to take the food home that WE PAID FOR, we were told that it was against company policy for food to leave the premises. Meanwhile on a previous stay when I ordered food at the bar I was allowed to take it home, so that’s simply not true. THEN I was told that they DONATE the food which is why we couldn’t take the food home. I asked to speak to a manager to verify this. When she came out she explained that we could not take the food because it was against their “policy” so I asked to see the contract that I signed, nothing about donating, lie #1. When I asked to see the contract the woman could not produce it, yet I couldn’t take the food meanwhile all my guest were leaving. The woman acted EXTREMELY annoyed that I asked her to produce the contract which was an embarrassment. Then the same gentleman who had previously told me that they “DONATE” the food proceeded to give me the rational that “if the food had been out for over 2 hours (which it had not 7:30 to 9:20 at the time of this discrepancy) it would have grown bacteria and would not be safe to consume” yet earlier he planned to “donate” this unsafe food. Somewhere in there is lie #2. EVENTUALLY after all but one of my guests had left they were able to produce the contract, that I did in fact sign, that in the fine print said we were unable to take anything home with us. OK I signed it. However, if anyone were to see the POUNDS (10+) of food that WE PAID FOR that they were either trashing (or knowingly donating bacteria ridden food) you would be sick to you stomach. The food was good and my guests would have LOVED to take some home with them however they were denied and the food was thrown away. There are a lot of people in this world that don’t have anything to eat, and this type of wastefulness is simply galling. Make sure you read the fine print and order only what you are able to consume, and know that they have no qualms with telling lies to prove their point.
