Well, I had always associated the Hilton brand with quality and service. This trip I chose with confidence to stay at the same hotel that was hosting a conference I’m attending. Apparently they don’t service rooms daily. I returned yesterday at 3 pm to an unserviced room and had to call the front desk to ask to have the room serviced. Today I returned after 5 to an unserviced room and was told the crew had left for the day and my room would not be serviced. After I recovered from profound surprise, I decided to leave this review. Boonto the Hilton’s housekeeping practices.

Greed. That has become the driving force in the times we live. Hotels now charge for every little conveniences to add to their bottom line at the cost of customer satisfaction and a positive customer experience. But first a couple of positives: room was very comfortable. Shower and bed were both great. Location was very good as well. About a 10 min walk to the Union station.
Ok...here we go. Most hotels I have stayed at in Canada and the US have a check-in of 3pm. And most of these hotels allow you to access your room if its ready. I haven't travelled in over 6 months so I don't know if this little convenience has changed or not. My son and I arrived at the Hilton downtown Denver at 3pm after a long flight. I asked if the room was ready and added that its perfectly fine if its not, since check-in is at 4pm. The young lady behind the desk very cheerfully told us that the room was ready. But in an equally cheerful manner, told us we would have to pay $50 to check in earlier than the check-in time. So basically, you have the room ready, the guests are at the hotel, there is only a 1-hour difference, but you won't let us access the room unless we pay? I know this is their policy. I am not arguing that. But I have a problem when policies are precipitated by greed. Any few ways to make more money. Wow....what has happened to the little customer satisfaction and positive experience that we used to expect previously? Now many, if not most, hotels probably have similar policies, but I only stayed at this Hilton in downtown Denver, so I can't speak for other hotels. I fear we are not far from the day when guests will be charged for towels, or using the coffee maker or the tv. I am sure that day will come.

Overall a very nice hotel in the business area of Downtown Denver. Good communication. Easy check in and out. Big, spacious, very clean room. Only two complaints. Out room was at the end of a hallway where three rooms joined. The doors were very close together, and we're VERY loud when shut. Especially if people were inconsiderate. The second was our shower. We ended up in a room with an ADA shower. Lots of space and shower capability, but there was no water stop into the bathroom and even when being incredibly careful, water would spread across the bathroom floor. Maybe a rubber bumper or something that still complies with ADA but stops water.

I didn’t get the chance to stay in the hotel, this is a review of their event staff. I attended a conference here and all of the amenities offered were great! This is a well oiled machine. Their breakfast was delicious and different every day. They had an excellent set up. Very fluid and good for a group of 200+ all eating breakfast at the same time.
They had cold water dispensers and soda fridges with ice and goblets at every turn. They also provided lunch and deserts. A variety of cute desserts I would have never thought of. Their staff is very kind and I was thankful to have them. The bartenders were so interesting to talk to. The whole set up was executed very well.

Excellent location near many restaurants, bars and shopping. Beautiful, clean rooms, but they were hot. Had the thermostat turned down to 65, and the room would not cool down. I was in Denver for a wedding in the ballroom and most guests stayed here. Not sure what the issue was as it was very cold outside.
Also, we had two adults and one child in our room and only two towels. Unsure why that is acceptable for a two night stay. The service and cleanliness were awesome though. I would love to stay again, if the room was cooler and we could get extra towels.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and the service was on point. Many compliments to all who helped make the couple’s wedding special and wonderful memories for many years to come!
