  Nice room great price great customer service. Breakfast was ready earlier then posted so we can get off to work sooner .Great set up and the Fresh cinnamon rolls were delicious ♡

  This is in Cortez, 45 minutes from Mesa Verde. Ambience of this hotel was nice, there are 3 floors and the 3rd is currently being renovated. You could hear them hammering the next morning as we went down to breakfast about 9:10am. Bed was hard (for my bones) and I don't know what was below our bathroom, but it sounded like a generator, as the floor vibrated. They need to replace the breakfast attendant with the bright pink sneakers. Breakfast ended at 9:30 and I suppose to her that means she has to have breakfast closed, cleaned up and out of there by 9:30. She was pulling up the silverware while we were standing there getting our food, huffing and puffing, continuiously talking to herself, dropping things, banging doors while continously huffing like she was having a medical problem and about to collapse. I asked her if she was okay, and she responded that she was just hot. It was not a peaceful or pleasant breakfast experience. Definitely not someone you want as the face of your establishment. Then, as people leave, she pleasantly wishes them a good day with her tip jar at the exit. I mentioned this to the boy who checked us out. He made an excuse that maybe she had to be somewhere by 9:30. Probably her son. Holiday Inn used to be my hotel of choice, but after 2 poor experiences out of 2 different Holiday Inns (the other, the tv couldn't get the cable signal so we could hear the heavy footed kids above us), it no longer is. Since they price themselves well above other brand hotels, I expect better. Best Western and Fairfield are now my new go to's.

  Not my favorite HI Express. The greeters at check-in were friendly and helpful. The hotel, however, is shabby. Furniture is nicked and gapped. Carpet is worn and frayed. The location is good, however, right next to a Denny's, if you need 24 hour food. It's also not far from Mesa Verde park if you are visiting there. I always feel that HI Express are clean, good options. This one didn't live up to that.

  We had stayed here for the first time as we usually stay next door at the Baymount but my husband wanted to try a different hotel this time around. We booked online prices were fair. We had been invited to a quinceañera in Dolores and we checked in right before midnight. Night audit was nice and friendly. We thought we’d be okay and able to get some sleep but unfortunately without knowing we were awakened by load noises coming from above us. I wasn’t too sure if it was someone staying on third floor making those noises so I called the front desk, they had said they had construction going on and weren’t aware prior until that morning when they showed up. Set aside from the noise at 8:45am or so then housekeeping decides to try to get into our room because we had already been checked out. Not really sure how or when we checked out considering we were trying to sleep after a night of partying with our friends and family. I don’t know if we’d return. I thought it would be nice but we didn’t really enjoy our short stay. Breakfast was okay they do offer a variety of different options to choose from such as pancakes, cinnamon rolls, cold cereal, fruit, and eggs & bacon. Front desk did try and offer a refund but honestly I’m not trying to get things for free, it just would of been nice to have been able to sleep an extra hour without interruptions and loud noises from construction above our room.

  The staff was amazing! The room was great - my kids loved the bunk beds. Only complaints were that our key and multiple other guests had keys that didn't work and the PlayStation didn't work at all which was disappointing for the kids.
