  I was unfamiliar with the Spark brand; I mistakenly assumed since it was a Hilton, it would be nice, especially since I paid almost $200 for a night (granted it was New Year's Eve weekend). Like another reviewer said, it's more like a fancy Motel 6, which of course isn't saying much. The room is cavernous, which is better than tiny and claustrophobic, but there's so much wasted space...a whole lot of emptiness. They didn't have our king bed room ready so I got an upgrade to a king + sofa. It would have been nice for a table to be placed in front of the sofa. For the money, I would have thought there would be a jacuzzi/spa/hot tub, but there was none. They only have an outdoor unheated pool, which is of no value in the winter. The fitness room is tiny with only a few basic machines, no free weights or cardio. The room is very basic. The breakfast, also, is very basic with plain institutional bagels and a few other things. The coffee is actually pretty good, surprisingly. But the breakfast was chaotic; they ran out of coffee cups a couple of times and the sole worker was not in a good mood, having to run back and forth. For the money, this place is not worth it.

  Hotel was clean and modern. If your like me and aim to book somewhere that has free breakfast to save on time and money this is not the place for you. Unlike most hiltons this one does not give you a lot of options (you get bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs in egg water, muffins and packets of oatmeal) while that is okay due to how busy it seems, they advertise options you can purchase that are free at most other Hilton locations. For the price of stay you shouldn’t have to buy parts of your complementary breakfast

  Great location. Rooms were nice and updated. Beds, bathrooms and other areas were clean. Overall property is well maintained. Breakfast is very basic but matches what is advertised on the website. Hotel is split into two buildings. Hence notify them in advance if you have multiple rooms to ensure they are in the same building. Very close to Joshua Tree NP and lot of good food places nearby. Try some of the local restaurants for a great experience.

  Good location. Very convenient. Rooms were about standard size, but they had a little odd smell. Breakfast was as advertised, it’s only cold breakfast. Front counter was a mess.

  We have waited in line for 20 minutes to check in, but was told the room was not ready. And that was 4:40 PM. The staff looked annoyed and is not friendly. No water in the gym. No coffee machine, no cups in the room. Has a laundry onsite but didn't offer any detergent to purchase or quarters for exchange. Again, staff is not friendly nor helpful. Will not recommend it or stay here again. The room is big and clean, that's the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. But honestly, haven't been to another hotel that has worse management than this. Super surprise this is one of Hilton's.
