The hotel would be great overall - the suite we had was spacious and well stocked. However, the service was unable to scale.
The indoor Pool area was SO jampacked, ALL days (incl. Sunday night, Jan 4) - we tried various hours but didn’t help. The Valet was taking a long time for everything non-standard (e. g. respond to the walkie-talkie from the receptionists :-?!). Note: I am not complaining about the normal 15 min to bring the car, which are advertised and expected. The Bell took a second phone call (after 30 min) to come (in another 15). We could not find an available luggage cart by ourselves, neither at check in nor checkout. Overall, overwhelmed and unable to deal with the post Holidays crowd, which for a Hilton as old as this one indicates poor management.
Location is great otherwise, as you get the Lake and a shuttle to Heavenly CA (note: it goes around the Town until it reaches the CA Lodge, so give yourself some time).
Bottom line: if you go during a quiet period, it *might* be OK, but unless (or until) they change their Management, do NOT recommend during busy periods.

A Diamond Member for 10+ years…Hilton ought to remove their name from this place! Overpriced (rooms are excellent)…poor service…if it weren’t for the concierge (not Hilton)…I dunno what else to say. Great location and facilities, but…they are PROUD of it, but don’t care whether their hospitality (or friendliness) matches.

The room is a bit small, but it's pretty clean. The hotel's location is very convenient as it's close to restaurants and shops. There's also a third-party shuttle service to the ski resort near the hotel.
My biggest complaint is that they never provided any cleaning service during my stay. When I complained about this, they stated that they only offer cleaning upon request, something they failed to inform me about during check-in. This significantly impacted my overall experience.

It is exactly what you would expect from a mid level timeshare facility. The location is great, even though they don’t really plow, so make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for winter vacations. There is an average size pool/hot tub/sauna which we could only use sporadically because it got crowded easily and is probably too small for a facility of this size. The gym is small but it does the job. There’s a bar restaurant on the main floor where you can get a burger and a beer. The concierge staff try to help but are not very knowledgeable.
If you have a family and want a timeshare option, it is okay.

Great location, room is spacious and service was great. Th 2 stars deducted is for the valet service. $27 per car per day. The ticket said is about 15 minutes for car retrieval, but our experience is about 30-40 minute wait time. On the day of check out, it literally took 50+ minutes. Our car was also damaged. Not the fault of the valet employees, but I don’t think will stay here again simply because you cannot park your own car. It is such an inconvenience.
