  As someone who travels locally via BART, this hotel’s location truly can’t be beat. It’s just steps from Powell Street Station, making it incredibly easy to access both BART and MUNI without having to haul luggage up steep inclines. The property sits right in Union Square, with restaurants, shopping, and public transit all immediately nearby—an undeniable convenience. The rooms themselves feel a bit dated, reminiscent of the late ’90s or early 2000s. That said, they’re functional and comfortable, with no issues around water temperature or pressure. The bed was comfortable, though a king-sized bed could definitely use a few more pillows. One downside was the air conditioning, which was somewhat finicky—the room stayed warmer than expected even when the thermostat was set to the low 60s. As a loyal Hilton traveler, I usually appreciate the seamless experience offered by the mobile app and digital key, which allows me to bypass front desk lines. Unfortunately, the digital key functionality at this property was inconsistent. On the ground level, only one of the three elevator card readers allowed access to guest floors. The other two would only permit access up to the second floor (the main lobby). On my first night, this meant repeatedly taking the escalator up to the lobby just to reach my room, until I eventually tested each reader and discovered which one worked. Despite these drawbacks, I’ll likely continue choosing this property due to its unbeatable location and transit convenience. As a local, I’m hopeful the hotel will eventually undergo upgrades to better match the otherwise excellent accessibility it offers.

  Muchas gracias por todo, fuimos tratados como reyes !!! El hotel nos gustó mucho. Todo el personal amable y con una sonrisa pero la estrella de Parc55 es el Sr. CARLTON es gran ser humano. Mr. CARLTON, gracias por hacer de nuestras vacaciones inolvidables. Usted con su gran forma de ser están tan grande como el GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE !!!

  Excellent location, especially for public transport and city access. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very courteous and helpful. A good buffet breakfast is available, with decent variety and quality. However, the hotel facilities are becoming outdated, and it feels like it is high time for a major upgrade and renovation to match the prime location and brand standards.
