Funky hotel close to everything in the financial district. Walking distance from Chinatown (a block away), the SFMOMA And so much more. It’s an old building and not fancy but they’ve done it really well and honestly rocked it. Great value for the price. Your key will be on app , there’s a crazy staircase (it’s TALL), and what feels like a secret passage to a bar. So yeah. It’s rad. They’ve done it up really well. On the same block is the Irish Bank, Harlan Records Bar, and the Posh Bagel. You kinda don’t need anything else.

The best part about this hotel is the location. It's in Chinatown where there are lots of great places to eat, some good bars. With that being said, there is no parking available what so ever that does not require payment. And you have to park at the next block over. Loading and unloading your stuff becomes a drawn out task real quick. The hallway smells strongly of cigarettes. Luckily, my room didn't smell that way. The room was clean but felt damp. No real way to get air outside of opening a window, which makes it much easier to hear the nightlife right behind the building. Seems to be a safe area, wasn't afraid about being out at night. Overall a clean place. I didn't have a bad stay, but I wasn't super impressed or anything either. Probably wouldn't stay again unless I was SOL.

Chose this hotel because of the location to my nearby meeting the next morning. Brough my teenagers. The elevator is not functioning. We where on the 5th floor. No problem, we packed light. Room was cute, small but all we needed. Left our bags and went for dinner. Came back, my daughter went to the bathroom and said that there was bugs. I went in, there was black hair laying with 2 cockroaches. We then noticed that the toilet was not cleaned, still with pee stains left from previous guest. We called the number and they offered us a refund or a different room. While we went down to check on the room, it only had one bed, two in our original room. My daughter said she could sleep on the couch, when we went over to look to make sure it would suffice. There was a huge cockroach crawling on it. We called management again, they offered us again a full refund. It is now 9pm at night, in San Francisco, with two teenagers. We took about 15 min of intense research and phone calls to secure a different and more expensive hotel room and then walking to a different hotel. I have pictures, and will add them if requested.

Absolute nightmare to stay in! Paid extra to request a specific room and they did not comply with us. Room had BED BUGS and they would not help us out with a new room or a refund for staying in a BUG INFESTED ROOM! Do not stay, only headaches and heartaches here.

The price and location here is great, the room felt dingy but clean, the bed was very lumpy and the stay was okay. I feel like I get the vision but maybe it could be executed better? We didn’t have any issue checking in and getting into our room but only one of us was able to download the app to access the key to our room. The door didn’t feel like it shut all the way and there was no interior lock for additional safety which was not ideal. To top this point off our walls were painted with a peeping tom chicken saying “hubba hubba”. We were also on the second floor and our window was directly above the outdoor speakers for the bar down stairs. The music in our room was louder than if you were outside, if we were looking to relax while the bar was open it would have been impossible. If you want a room with a private bathroom, make sure the listing states “en-suite bathroom”. Our Uber driver also warned us about the hotel on our way there but wouldn’t give details. Don’t think we’ll be back but it was fine for what we needed.
