Great location! Only a few blocks from Union Square and public transit including the streetcar turnaround point, easily walkable to downtown businesses if you're here for work. The cityscape lounge upstairs opens at 4 and is a great way to end the evening looking at panoramic of the city from up high at sunset or lit up in the evening. I was in Tower one and loved the balcony facing Salesforce Tower - I would lie in the bed with the curtains open watching the lights change in the evening, and the morning light of sunrise in the morning. I was impressed with the bathroom and that there is a large counter, a shelf underneath the sink the length of the counter, a drawer for the hair dryer, a hook right next to the shower for towels, and yay a hook for a washcloth inside the shower as well as a few shelves. The labeling of shampoo, conditioner and soap are large font finally so I could see them without my glasses. Plugs available in both sides of the bed. Would recommend staying here again.

Joaquin the Manager saved the day. Unfortunately NYE, the hotel was overbooked and my room shifted around 3 times leaving us in disarray but we ended up contacting the Mgr. He gave us the best possible room and access to views. Rooms were spacious and clean. It was quite and comfortable. Parking was really bad but it was mass pandemonium on that day. Traffic and people in general outside the hotel made it difficult to access.

This review is Five Stars specifically for the supervisor, Joaquin, and the exceptional customer service he provided during our stay. My family and I were staying for one night and encountered some issues with our initial room. Despite how busy the hotel was, Joaquin took the time to actively listen to my concerns and resolve the situation. He was incredibly professional, never rushed me, and made it clear that my satisfaction was his priority. With that level of skill and dedication, he truly deserves to be a manager. Our first room on the 24th floor felt outdated, but the second room on the 41st floor was much nicer. The elevators can be confusing depending on which floor you're staying on, and parking was a challenge. Although the hotel has its own garage, it’s open to the public, and self‑parking ($70) was full, so we had to use valet ($80). If you’re booking a skyline room, I recommend choosing floors 41 and above for the best views.

We arrived in San Francisco with our family and children to celebrate New Year’s and stayed at this hotel. Overall, our experience was very positive. Pros: The hotel has an incredibly convenient location — everything needed for walks with children is within walking distance, which made our stay especially comfortable. The parking is located inside the hotel and is secured. Closer to the evening, we noticed that there was more security at the hotel entrance, and they were not just there for appearance — they actively controlled access to the hotel. Throughout our stay, we felt safe and did not see any suspicious individuals in or around the hotel or in the parking area. Despite the large number of guests during the holiday, the elevators worked very efficiently: waiting time was only a few seconds, and the ride to the desired floor was quick and smooth. The room: We stayed on the 29th floor. The room had a sofa, a table, a TV and a phone, two double beds, a coffee machine, and a safe. The bathroom was well equipped with all necessary toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner) in generous amounts, as well as a hair dryer. There was also a small refrigerator and an ice bucket with two glasses — a very nice and thoughtful touch. The room was ABSOLUTELY CLEAN!!— we did not notice any dust or dirt anywhere, even near the baseboards or under the sink. The windows offered a city view. The only thing to keep in mind is that we could not see the fireworks from our room. Hotel amenities: The hotel has an outdoor heated pool and a jacuzzi. However, there is one significant downside. We stayed in Tower 1, while the pool is located in Tower 3, so after swimming you need to walk quite a distance through the hotel. In addition, the room does not provide bathrobes or disposable slippers, which means after the pool you have to change into regular winter clothes and shoes to return to your room. It would be great if the hotel provided robes and slippers. We also encountered a small organizational issue: there is no designated place to leave used or wet pool towels — there is only an area for clean, dry towels, which was inconvenient. Overall, our stay was comfortable and pleasant, and we would gladly return to this hotel again.

One of the worst days to one of the best nights. My wife and I lived in San Francisco for years and we always come back every Christmas for a night at Union Square and a show with dinner to follow. Well last week we went for the usual trip and it was a disaster with a power outage. restaurant closed. Broadway play blacked out during the show. Hotel had no HVAC or Cable TV due to no power. So what do you do... Well Ryan B. at the Hilton Union Square moved mountains for us. My wife and I will never not stay at Hilton ever again. The service standard they show through managers like Ryan is amazing. THANK YOU so much Ryan we will be back soon! Lauren and Casey
