Last week, I hosted a VIP MICE event at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel and everything was really satisfying. In particular, I would like to express my deep gratitude to sales manager Kristin Hatami and event manager Tifsihet Hailemariam for their prompt response. What was really touching was their quick response and sincere care when the patient occurred.

I came to this hotel for a conference, and my job reserved it with credit card, at no point in months before getting here did they ever tell us we had to have authorization on file to charge the credit card. My coworker and I were trying to sort it out but the ladies at the “membership” desk were down right nasty and rude to us, not offering any sort of help aside from acting like we inconvenienced them greatly, no one else was in line. Secondly, I slept on one bed to pull back the sheet I must not have prior to find a gross yellow stain on the mattress cover! Vents are really dirty inside so if u have allergies probably not a great place to stay. I would not come to this place again, especially after horrible treatment to me and my coworker.

Hilton San Francisco Union Square offers a commanding downtown presence with 1,900+ rooms and a prime location mere blocks from Union Square, cable cars, and BART. The hotel’s highlight is its rooftop pool and the Cityscape Lounge, San Francisco’s highest sky bar with sweeping city views.
Guests appreciate the roomy, modern guest rooms, some with balconies and skyline views. For fitness and business travelers, there’s a well-equipped gym, EV charging, and more than 130,000 sq ft of event space laid out over dozens of meeting rooms.

Large but old hotel in central location (that's their best feature). Check in took longer than usual; being diamond member made no difference. Rooms and interiors in need of refresher. Rooms are dark and don't have enough lighting for work at night. Pillows saggy and are extra lumpy. Only 2 of the 6 elevators actually go to some high floors. $45 breakfast buffet taste like the stuff you get for free at Hampton Inn. Only staying here because it's paid by employer. Definitely not recommended for leisure travel.

Very well located on Union Square, near Chinatown, and with excellent connections to Pier 39 via the tram, which is also just two blocks from the hotel.
The rooms are large with two queen-size beds. What I found a bit disappointing was the view of the hotel's interior courtyard. The rooms have all the amenities, including a hairdryer, minibar, coffee maker, etc.
The breakfast is very good; it has a hot menu, a breadfruit menu, and a cold menu, but the only downside is that it doesn't change much; it's the same every day, so if you're only staying for a few days, you already know what you'll have for breakfast.
The gym is very good, with a wide variety of machines for both strength and cardio. It doesn't usually get crowded early in the morning. Towels and water are available in the gym.
One thing I really liked was the staff's attitude, always willing to help and make things easy for you. Whatever you ask, they will always help you and if you ask for any information, they are always willing to help.
