I had a good stay at Edwardian. Understand what you are booking- no frills space to sleep. The hotel is on Market street, it's a loud spot. The building is older so expect there to be gaps where sound is going to get through. Aside from that, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom nice and spacious. All considered, I was happy with my stay here.

Location is a bit sad but not dangerous. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd come again.

Space heaters were provided to adequately heat the rooms. Windows wedged open allowing drafts. I would suggest Stang elsewhere just to avoid the hassle of these rooms

I've stayed at this place for years. In the past year it's been such and odd experience. The website doesn't work, the phone # on google doesn't work. You arrive to the hotel and no one answers the door and when they finally do after a 1/2 an hour of standing out front the lady in the front office is just rude. I just tried calling to book another night and the same women says they don't do same day bookings, when I had just done a week prior. I love the location and the rooms are all remodeled and the price is good but wow... Get someone else to run your biz if you don't know how.

Super nice hotel in San Francisco. The rooms are really nice and renovated. (Maybe a bit more furniture like a desk could be a piece of improvement.)
Location is fantastic: close to Muni, Bart, downtown SF, Castro, Lower Haight, etc. Tons of nice restaurants and cafes nearby.
The service is super friendly and welcoming.
Regarding safety, for San Francisco standards, the hotel is very safe and in a quiet area. (Not at all comparable with areas like SoMA or near Union Square - significantly safer and less busy!!!)
P.S.: May not be the friendliest hotel for someone with accessibility issues. Relatively old elevator.
