I’m a Hilton member and this is my second and final year staying at this DoubleTree in San Bernardino. This year’s stay is by far the worst experience in my travel history. My family and I were staying here for two weeks for the holidays and within the first four nights my room was NOT cleaned for the first two nights, I have a 10 month old an a two year old so cleanliness is my top priority and this “4 Star” hotel acted like Super 8 Motel. The only solution is the manager who was supposed to call did not and just gave me bonus points. Bonus points I do not care for I want my room cleaned especially with an infant and toddler wondering around. If you have a family, do not stay here spend the the extra money to go somewhere else. Customers coming to vacation should not have to worry if their rooms will be cleaned or not, we should worry about what the plans are for the day. Unprofessional and will no longer be coming here. They also charge for parking as if this place is super busy. P.S this is Day 7 still waiting for a manager to speak with me.

This is our second year of staying for 2 weeks and I did not have a good experience this time. I had to constantly wonder if my room would be clean upon returning in the evening. Twice the room was not touched and the other times, the room would be minimally clean. The carpet would still be filthy and the bed not properly made. I even make sure that there is no clutter to make sure the clean is simple and it’s still done poorly or not at all. I come on vacation to enjoy my time, not have to call the front desk nearly daily to complain. I expect better especially being a Hilton honors member. I will not be retuning for the next year. Very disappointed!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Burks, security manager, at the Hilton DoubleTree Inn San Bernardino. As a single mother traveling alone, feeling safe is my top priority—especially given the area’s reputation—and Mr. Burks went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely secure and cared for during my stay. From the moment I interacted with him, he was professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. What truly stood out was his willingness to escort me to my vehicle, something he did without hesitation and with such warmth and respect. That simple act meant everything to me. It wasn’t just security—it was real hospitality and human decency. Because of Mr. Burks, I felt safe, seen, and supported, and that peace of mind is priceless when you are away from home. He is an absolute asset to this hotel and a perfect example of what exceptional service looks like. Hilton is incredibly lucky to have him, and I hope his leadership knows just how impactful his presence is. Thank you, Mr. Burks, for turning what could have been a stressful experience into one that felt reassuring and positive. I will absolutely remember this and return because of it. While it should be the standard, genuinely good-hearted people just seem to be rarity nowadays, and I am so grateful to have been reminded they still exist.

I truly hate having to write this review, but after multiple attempts to resolve this issue, I feel I have no other option. I booked a stay last week due to a funeral. Upon checking out, I immediately realized I had left behind a jacket in the room. This jacket was extremely sentimental to me—it belonged to the person I had just laid to rest and was given to me as a gift. As soon as I noticed it was missing, I called the front desk to notify them. After a lot of back and forth, it became clear that the jacket was never turned in to lost and found. Unfortunately, it appears the housekeeper kept it. There is no possibility that I took the jacket with me—I left the hotel directly to the funeral services and realized the jacket was missing shortly after. What makes this situation even more upsetting is the lack of response. I have been waiting for a call back from a manager for over a week, and not a single phone call has been returned. This is not about the monetary value of the jacket—it is about the sentimental value and what it represented to me during a very difficult time. It is extremely disappointing and heartbreaking that this situation was handled so poorly and without any accountability or follow-up. Because of this experience, I am leaving this review in hopes that management takes situations like this seriously in the future.

The hotel had great service. We had an issue with the cleanliness of our room and they promptly offered us a new room with some points for comp. Now, the facility itself I loved. Nice little courtyard to sit in, wonderful coffee shop, and security was friendly. The restaurant in this hotel....come here just for the food! I ordered kobe sliders, chicken quesadilla, and the big pretzel. Holy Moly! The best of them I have had anywhere! Juicy chicken, the sliders tasted like I was eating a steak. Yum!! Equally as yum is the breakfast. Very well worth the money. The ladies run a tight ship. Clean, refilled often, and very courteous.
