No hot water available, no heat available, failed to attach my stay to my Hilton Honors account, was initially charged for the “complimentary” coffee due to the lack of utilities noted above, etc.

This is definitely a place I’ll overlook if I visit Sacramento again. There are some positives but my negatives are more than the positives. Prior to booking, I did read reviews and they are very mixed. Also, seeing two vehicle break-ins is also concerning. Maybe I should have been more attentive to the low star reviews and whoever is reading this, should as well because they do reflect accurately, at least to my experience too. To start, Very outdated hotel. Lobby is nice but a very jumbled layout and gloomy. Check-in was easy, smooth, friendly, and quick. Elevators require a keycard but only needs one keycard to access all floors, so if someone else comes on with you, without using the keycard, they can just select the floor. Elevator is out of date on inspection with a “temp” permit that’s also expired. Once inside the room, instantly noticed the ugly carpet, popcorn ceiling, and super small bathroom. There was dried urine on the toilet seat. It’s a little chilly outside, low 40s, overcast, and the a/c is on. Toggling to heat does nothing. I had to turn it off completely. Even doing that, it’s still cold in the room. Blanket is super thin. Pillows are like bags of concrete mix once you wake up in the morning. For some reason they charge parking here and use a placard to place in your vehicle. There are arm lift gates to the parking entrances and exits but aren’t used? There is a slew of homeless people in the area and often walk by on Harvard St - could explain vehicle break-ins when they happen since I saw some of them cut through the parking lot. My room faced the highway and it is noisy. There are foam ear plugs provided which were staged in the bathroom - I didn’t use them as I was fine. I had no problem with hot water in the shower. Even for standing in there for about 20min it still stayed hot for my comfort. The light switch in the bathroom is weird. Like, it’s not normal. You have to press with just the right amount of pressure and location to get it to turn on and off. Idk. You’ll see. Maybe that was just my room. Gym is actually a decent size with everything you need. One of the highlights. Most hotels don’t invest much in their gym. Here, they took some type of effort to do so. Now, the location. It’s great. Very close to a lot of restaurants and the mall. Would I walk? No. Overall, I would not stay here again. I almost cancelled my reservation a few days prior to book somewhere else because I felt it wasn’t a good choice but decided to give it a chance. Well, here we are.

I don’t recommend staying here. The rooms are so old. They smell like a basement from a house built in the 70s. You’ll need to bring air sanitizer. The fire sprinklers drip rusty water on you. It takes 10 mins for the water to warm up in the shower. You need to bring your own space heater. The heater doesn’t work. The line is super long to check in and if someone just walks in front of you, the front desk will help them first.

The hotel location was within 2 miles of my destination so that is the only reason i stayed here. The front desk attendant, Chad, is horrible. He has a very bad attitude and does not need to be speaking to customers. I am a Hilton Diamond member and have never met someone with Hitlon hotels with such a bad attitude. Avoid this place to avoid meeting Chad.
