Love the locations and the breakfast. Been going here annually for past 10 years. Far enough away from the homeless people that any of the downtown hotels offer outside thier doors to greet you on the sidewalks near by. This hotel is on its own section of the streets and has been cleared when I visit.

Pretty hotel. Free breakfast was good. The room was clean. The welcome sign on Tvs were a nice touch. However, our room came with a clogged toilet. When I called for maintenance, I was handed a plunger, Not a repair. The toilet was clear, no mess in there. It just wasn't flushing. I thought maintenance would fix but I was handed a plunger and I was told to fix it.
Not really a difficult fix but I thought the delivery and expectation was in very poor taste.
Service was friendly from most staff. Check out was a little stiff.
We checked in at 5:30 and was told our room wasn't ready. Then they had to get clearance to receive the room that they assigned us. I requested an ADA room but never got one.
I wish to give it more stars because it is a beautiful and fine hotel. My experience was just not equal to its quality.
Disappointed. 😑

It wasn’t terribly convenient for the convention center, but it is right off downtown on the river that has a lift bridge right next to it so if you’re hanging around downtown, the location is pretty convenient. Overall, it is starting to show us age, but the service is still good And it does all the things that Embassy suites do well.

I arrived at the hotel around 7:30pm and the Valet parking was Full. I was traveling with 3 kids and there was no parking anywhere around the area. The valet employee Alejandra worked her magic and was able to accommodate us. I truly appreciate her efforts! This is our hotel of choice anytime we travel to Sacramento. Thank you 5/5.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip recently, I could not have chosen a better place. Right on the Sacramento River, my room had a view of the river and Sutter Health Field (somewhat obscured by an apartment building, but I can still see the lights… That was really cool).
Plenty of dining options within walking distance, but my collie and I ended up taking an Uber to the DOCO area. The next morning, I went for a nice long almost 3-mile round-trip walk to the State Capitol building and the park directly east, it was really pretty. Finished that up with a walk along the riverfront by the hotel for about a half-mile. There were some homeless folks around that look like they had spent the night on the benches by the river, but they didn’t pay me any mind. There were some foot and bike traffic along the trail as well.
The room was incredibly spacious, and had a ceiling fan. I loved how it had a gathering area with a walk-in bar and sink area, and then into the bedroom.
The hotel offers a really good (free) happy hour with snacks and appetizers, and free Bud Light. They have some premium bottles for $4, which I didn’t think was too bad. The full bar was also open at the same time. Breakfast was pretty good as well. The bacon was fried to perfection.
