  I visited their spa and I would say overall it was a mixed experience. I received two treatments- a facial and a massage. The facial was superb and performed by a lovely lady who went out of her way to make the experience special. My masseuse- a gentleman- was extremely nervous the entire time and his hands were shaking throughout my massage. He was visibly sweating and it was an overall lackluster massage. Management did come to talk to me after and offered a minor discount on my massage which was appreciated but I thought they could have done more given it was just overall not the experience I was expecting and frankly with the prices charged I was expecting a world class professional, not someone who was shaking the entire time and left the room for 10 minutes after my massage began. I expected the massage could be comped but I think they took off maybe $50 or $100 dollars on what was a nearly $300 massage that failed to relax me at all. By far the weirdest experience I’ve ever had with a professional masseuse. The facilities are mixed as well- the changing room is absolutely clean and beautiful and well stocked and the attendants went out of their way to help me - including ringing out and drying my swimsuit and also returning jewelry I had accidentally left in my locker. Bidets are available and also a ton of private changing rooms. The sauna is nice albeit a little small. What needs significant improvement is their jacuzzi area- I saw a ton of mosquitos / dead bugs floating in the water. If it’s a known issue there should be more frequent cleaning. Overall I would maybe come back again but I would be wary about booking specific masseuses that are well known.

  This spa is the best one there is in SoCal and I've been to almost all of them! Come early and stay till closing, make it a ritual

  We’ve been coming to Rancho Valencia for 20 years and have never once been disappointed. We always stay in the same room—it truly feels like our home away from home. The staff is absolutely amazing—attentive, professional, and always going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The facilities just keep getting better, now with pickleball and padel courts adding even more fun to our visits. And I have to mention the spa area—it’s one of my favorite places anywhere. Peaceful, beautifully designed, and the perfect way to unwind. Rancho Valencia continues to exceed our expectations every single time.
