One step up from Motel 6 with less friendly staff. I was in town for a family event. We came about 3:30 and the rooms wasn't ready ( understandable) and checked in. They promised to call when the room was ready and even verified my telephone number. At 5:30, we came back to see if the room was ready, the staff person never even said hello when I stepped up to the counter, she simply looked at my id and handed me my room card. Now, the room issues. We stayed in room 117 and immediately noticed a faint odor when we talked into the room. We decided to deal with it because we'd driven six hours, went to our family event and just wanted to relax. The room was really small compared to other Embassy Suites (I stay frequently in ES when I travel as we have a corporate account). The heater wouldn't go above 71 degrees which is chilly to get out of the shower to that temperature. We went out to breakfast and came back to find out we'd been looked out of the room at 10 am even though check out isn't until 11 am.

Since I can’t reply to the my original review, here you go .Thank you for responding. Several statements in your reply are inaccurate and require clarification for the sake of transparency. Our family stayed as a coordinated group for a planned reunion, occupying six rooms total across two reservations—four under one booking and two under a separate booking. This was clearly communicated to the property both before and during the stay, along with the presence of minor children. The lack of basic bedding for children on the first night, which resulted in minors remaining awake in cold rooms, is not disputed and was acknowledged by on-site staff at the time. This is a matter of basic accommodation, not a matter of preference. Regarding breakfast, we attempted to use the service once and found it overcrowded and impractical. Any suggestion that this negates the documented operational issues does not address the core concern, which was the hotel’s inability to accommodate guest volume adequately. We categorically reject the characterization that we were “rude.” Our interactions were calm and respectful. Requesting basic accommodations, raising safety concerns involving children, and asking to speak with the General Manager does not constitute inappropriate behavior. The threat to involve law enforcement in response to these requests was disproportionate and unprofessional. At no point did we demand “full compensation” as described. We asked for reasonable remedies consistent with the severity of the issues encountered. We were instead advised to check out if dissatisfied, and follow-up attempts to reach the General Manager after departure went unanswered. This response reinforces the concerns raised in our original review regarding accountability, professionalism, and guest treatment. Our intent in posting this review is to provide an accurate account for future travelers and to encourage meaningful corrective action.

4pm check in for the desert, is weird. $15 overnight parking... the audacity. What do you mean do I plan to park overnight? Of course I do, I'm staying here overnight... ma'am this is an Embassy Suites lol. The room was clean, but dated. The tub barely drained. So you were standing in an inch of water while you showered. The bathroom was so tiny, you had to shimmy to get in and even close the door. Lighting in the bathroom also sucked for the makeup girlies. Sound proofing from outside and adjoining rooms, not great. I got to hear pickle balls being whacked bright and early. Good: the AC blasted. Amazing. And the bed was fairly comfy.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) This property is at best a two-star hotel and does not reflect Embassy Suites or Hilton standards. Our family stayed at Embassy Suites Palm Desert for a planned, week-long family reunion. We had six rooms total (four on one reservation and two on a separate booking), with minor children clearly noted. On the first night, the hotel failed to provide basic bedding and blankets for the children. Night staff stated no bedding was available. As a result, children were left awake overnight in cold rooms wearing jackets. This is a failure to provide minimum habitable accommodations. Despite repeated requests, our rooms were placed across multiple floors and separate buildings, creating unnecessary safety and supervision concerns involving minors. The property itself is in poor condition: Elevators were not working Laundry facilities were closed Rooms were dirty and in visibly bad shape No room servicing occurred during our stay, despite requests We specifically booked this hotel because it advertised tennis and pickleball courts. We later learned the courts are privately owned, cost $40 per court, and are not included amenities. This was misleading and a significant factor in choosing this property. The complimentary breakfast was poorly managed and clearly did not accommodate hotel occupancy. Long lines, overcrowding, and lack of organization made it impractical. We attempted breakfast only once during our stay. When these issues were raised with management the following morning, there was no apology or acknowledgment of responsibility. We were told bedding would be provided only after the fact and that room placement would not be adjusted. We were advised to check out if dissatisfied. When we requested the General Manager, another manager intervened and threatened to involve law enforcement, despite no disruptive or inappropriate behavior on our part. This response was disproportionate and unprofessional. Between the lack of basic amenities, misleading facility representations, poor cleanliness, inoperable infrastructure, inadequate breakfast operations, and hostile management conduct, this stay was unacceptable—particularly for a hotel marketed as family-friendly.we reached out to the general manager by email and phone and did not get a reply . The staff of this hotel is unprofessional, disrespectful and uncooperative. We have escalated this matter to Hilton Corporate Guest Relations and hope corrective action is taken.

I want to give this hotel “0” STAR!!!!! I couldn’t sleep at all because of constant noise from the upstairs room. It sounded like the bed springs were completely worn out and squeaked all night. I am not a very sensitive person, but you should listen to the video I posted. Imagine hearing that sound all night long. Since there was noise every time the person upstairs moved or walked, it appears the problem isn’t the bed, but that the building is old and poorly soundproofed. I am supposed to drive to Arizona today, but I feel like I’m going to fall asleep while driving. For a hotel that charges $350 per night, this is absolutely unacceptable. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I will never come back, and I strongly recommend that others do not stay at this hotel.
