    My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and I am still in awe of the outstanding experience and service. We were immediately greeted by Susan who took care of us. I mentioned to her why we were staying at the Resort (dinner and concert for our anniversary). When we returned to our room, we were surprised with a tray of chocolate dipped strawberries saying Happy Anniversary. When we checked out the next day, Susan remembered me mentioning my interest in staying for the boat parade in December as well as my concerns with our disabled son. Because of Susan's efficiency, not only did we have a wonderful stay, we booked a reservation to see the boat parade AND all the accommodations for our son will be taken care of. We truly appreciated Susan's high quality of customer service, professionalism and attention to detail. We will definitely be a repeat customer.

    I had family visiting from out of town and it was just after one of the rare rainy days we have in Southern California, so we were unable to take the Duffy Boat out that we had booked through the hotel as part of the seasonal promotion. That said, the staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing with the customer service they provided, and made sure that our hotel stay and experience was special. The entire staff at the hotel is fantastic. Special shout out to Hannah, Nathan and Jack who were all really helpful and accommodating and delivered top-notch service. We'll be back again!

    Everything was great! Front desk staff was very thoughtful and customer service oriented. Breakfast at restaurant was great and staff was wonderful, for breakfast. Dinner I would not do there again. The clam chowder was awful. I only took a couple spoonfuls and then passed yet server never asked. I even wrote on check, and they dis not credit me back the $18 for soup. But that is the only negative thing I can say, everything else was wonderful!!!

    As a four diamond and four star hotel property, they disappointed on many levels. Despite being highly recommended by many locals, I would not stay here again after my two week stay. I guess the locals need to try staying here before recommending it! 1. The fire alarm went off at 7:30 am. When it finally stopped, we received no explanation or communication about it. But, the hotel has no problem sending text message ads to eat at their restaurant. The entire hotel was woken up at 7:30am, and the management doesn’t have the wherewithal to explain what happened? One valet said it was a fire drill. The front desk was overheard saying it was a false alarm. There’s no apology for waking us on vacation at 7:30am? Unacceptable. 2. There is no beach access for hotel guests. Yes, they have a beach. No, it’s not for you!! And don’t ask, there are no exceptions! And if you ask to be put in contact with the GM, they will proceed to straight up ignore you. 3. Upon checkout, I was not thanked nor asked how my stay was. I spent thousands of dollars and was dismissed without so much as a “thanks for staying with us.” Not to worry- I will take my money elsewhere on my next visit to Newport Beach! **Food was good. I recommend the Sunday brunch.

    My overall experience was incredibly clunky. Things were lacking clarity. Be warned that you will pay an additional $80 a day 40 for parking and 40 for resort fees. That may not seem like a lot to some of you but it was surprising to me and not clear till after we checked in. We were only there for 24hrs so that also impacts this review. Check in staff were kind. The lead bell man was helpful in trying to find a room that had already been cleaned and was ready for us since we were about 20 min early for check in. That was nice. However, things still weren't super clear. Should we get our bags and wait, should we go park, should we go wait at the bar or patio. I was looking for direction didn't get much and kinda felt stupid. (I don't like that) But no one was mean. First room we were put in I believe it was room 241 no one should ever be in that room. It literally vibrates I believe due to an AC unit near by. It felt like we were in the hull of a ship. Thankfully we called and they moved us to room 251. It was loud in the hallway but thankfully was quite and very spacious in the room. We did have to wait outside our room for over 20 minutes with our bags waiting to be let in. From the time we arrived to finally being in our new room was about 2hrs thats a long time on a Wednesday afternoon and wasn't the best start to our stay. The keys are also kinda funny they are wood type coins they are cool but also weird. Felt very losable, and we had issues with them leaving the parking area and we had to go back at 10:30 pm because it was not working getting back into our room. Overall a great location, it served its purposes but for the price you are paying I thought the experience would be a bit better.
