When they were finding other accommodations they gave us a basic room and claimed to give a discount...it was just the rate of the room, which was higher than it was when we initally booked. There are things like randomly closing the pool and all the room keys would reset at once. It honestly felt like we were being pranked until someone else mentioned similar issues. It's in a nice area right off the freeway but we will do airbnb from now on.

The good- the breakfast bar has a great selection, the pool & sitting area is very nice, the staff was friendly, and the location(beautiful view of mountains & centrally located with tons of restaurants). The bad- the room was shabbier than expected. The headboard had scrapes and rips, the bathroom had no fan and the tub was extremely slippery, the ac was loud & inefficient, the keycard scanner on the door didn’t work half the time, and the mattress was like a potato sack. Would I mind staying there again-no, but I’d still look somewhere else

Not understanding how this could possibly happen - we checked in with a human, were given a room key, and we slept in the bed overnight - I offered to provide whatever I could to prove we were there, as unconventional as that may be. I even offered to show him the credit card charge from a Coke Zero I bought from their snack bar while we awaited our room to become available. The person I spoke with promised to look into and get back with me, and months later, I've heard nothing and I'm left to assume that's their passive way of denying my claim. Could this be a ploy to collect a room charge without having to pony up the points? I'm not sure, but I won't be staying there again during my frequent upcoming visits to the Pasadena area.
