The experience started off exceptionally well thanks to Tony at the front desk, who welcomed my fiancé and me with unrivaled warmth. Understanding how exhausted we were from the trip, he went above and beyond to facilitate an early room for us before the usual check-in time. He promptly offered to store our luggage, and the room he provided was ready, comfortable, and spotless in record time. The excellent service from the staff, which included the swift preparation of our room, allowed us to rest and recharge our energy. Due to the attentiveness and comfort provided, this hotel is definitely one of the best we have ever had the pleasure of staying at.

adequate hotel but i’ve never met a situation where their hotel key cards just don’t work at all. every time i left my room, my cards stopped working. i had to go down to the lobby and come back up 10 times across one single day. the late night staff was helpful and apologetic but some of the other staff tried to blame it on me “placing it close to my phone because it’s magnetic”.
girl even if that was the problem if a hotel key card stops working just because i have it “close to my phone” then maybe it’s not the kinda key card y’all should be using for your hotel in the first place.

I think this is one of the worst hotel experiences ever. First room was overlooking Lincoln blvd…if you like sleeping next to a noisy highway then this hotel is for you. Next room, next to the parking lot so I get to hear car alarms all night and the fans are so old they’re noisier than the freeway. The windows and doors are not paned enough to block noise. The front desk sends maintenance to my room. He looks at the unit and tells me they’re all like that. Feels like a crappy motel in the middle of Hollywood!
(Then response was posted)
It gets better…
I get room # 3 which was an improvement and the woman at the desk was much friendlier and accommodating this time. 10:30 /11pm, loud obnoxious drunk people at the bar, you could hear them throughout the property, took me to call the front desk for them to send security to ask them to keep it down.
Final night…I get back late around 10pm - housekeeping is doing rooms down the hall all night so I enjoyed trying to sleep with the doors slamming randomly. To top it off, my room wasn’t even cleaned!!!
At check out, the staff couldn’t be more distant. Not surprised they didn’t ask how my stay was.
With so many choices and hotels actually in the Marina, won’t be back and would never recommend.

Okay, they will only let you check in on time, 5 minutes early no way. We did and they offered us another room we took it. Fools, it was right by the lift, all we could hear is the lift going up and down so we got that changed.
The real downer is you go down to breakfast and they have rap booming out at 06:00 in the morning, the two nights we were there I had to ask them to turn it off.
We will not be staying here again, I can stay elsewhere and not get my ear blown away. On the positive they did agree it was wrong and turn it down, but come on, common sense should say that music is subjective and rap blaring out at breakfast is wrong,
The other upshot of this is this hotel is not just for tourists, there were a couple of business conferences here when we stayed. Business people do not want to raise their voices over boom boom boom so the world can hear what they are talking about.
Sometimes I wonder

Rooms are like a motel not typical Doubletree. Service was terrible. The guy at the front desk told us in the morning that our room would be cleaned but when we came back in the evening it was not done. The person at the front desk did not even seem to apologize, just said ok. Will never stay here again.
To make matters worse, after I checked out I saw a $20 charge on my card. I called the hotel and the lady at the front desk said it was for using the water bottles in the room. There were no water bottles in the room. We got three bottles when we checked in and they were complimentary. When I called I was told that it would be reimbursed. Hopefully I get the reimbursement. I travel quite frequently, have stayed in all kinds of hotels, and never in the last 30 years have I encountered something like this.
