On December 26th, I discovered two Hilton certificates I had received at an auction. Noticing their expiration date of December 30th, I promptly considered this establishment. Upon contacting them, I confirmed their acceptance of the "Friends of Hilton" certificates and successfully made a reservation. Upon my arrival, I encountered an unsatisfactory check-in experience. There was a significant miscommunication regarding my reservation and the certificates I presented. The gentleman assisting me seemed unfamiliar with the certificates and initially stated that I did not have a reservation. He then contradicted himself by acknowledging a reservation but asserting that my method of payment was incorrect, despite my clarification that the certificates represented pre-paid funds and confirmation of their validity prior to my arrival. His suggestion that I step aside while he contacted a manager was quite disconcerting. Furthermore, his information regarding parking was inconsistent; he initially quoted $14, then revised it to $7. Feeling disheartened, I opted to utilize the public parking adjacent to the inn, which was available for $5 per day. I took a moment to compose myself before returning to the establishment. After approximately an hour, I was finally able to check in. I was informed that I would need to return in the morning to repeat the check-in process and have my room key re-keyed. My request to complete this immediately was denied, and I was advised that this procedure was necessary for a second day's stay. I was assigned a room at the rear of the hotel. The hallways featured aged carpeting with a pungent odor and visible attempts to remove stains. Upon reaching my room, I began receiving text messages and calls from the front desk inquiring about my satisfaction with my stay, which had just commenced. Additionally, I noted that all signage indicating ice machine locations was inaccurate. Upon my return to re-check in for an extended stay, I was informed by Manager Robin that my previously submitted forms were deemed invalid. She stated that to continue my stay, an additional payment exceeding $500 for two nights would be required. I expressed my significant disappointment and frustration, as I did not anticipate such an experience given my expectations for a relaxing getaway. The time spent resolving this issue has unfortunately overshadowed any enjoyment of my trip. The situation became increasingly stressful, leading me to depart the premises. I explicitly instructed management not to charge my credit card, only to be informed that an attempt had already been made. My frustration escalated further upon discovering that the system was inoperative, which was the actual cause of the certificate processing failure. Despite this, Manager Robin had the audacity to request my return. I declined, as I was nearly home, at which point she offered a one-day complimentary stay after my two-day ordeal. I advise caution regarding this establishment, as the lobby's appearance can be misleading.

No sound insulation in rooms, you could easily hear what someone is talking next room or one above. No good airventilation and aircon made bad noise and thereby bad air in room. Parking 33$/day, breakfast 22$/prs that was very highly overpriced for very poor / limited offering and having dishes constantly empty.

Hilton Garden Inn was my first hotel stop in LA. It was pretty standard—nothing bad, just nothing super memorable either. For parking, it’s more budget-friendly to use the public parking lot right next to the hotel instead of the hotel parking.

I rarely write reviews. but this encounter that i had with a worker really made me mad. i stayed with my husband and we were heading to the pool and i saw this worker walking by i couldn’t really catch her name in the name tag but it just read the first letters not sure what her full name is but i saw “ alejendra” i don’t know how it’s spelled i asked her nicely for some towels for the pool she said “ not me ask a housekeeper “ and walked away on her phone. i find this extremely UNPROFESSIONAL even if she wasent a housekeeper she could of found a way too not be rude. or try to give me my things. every other worker i have asked for anything they always smiled and gave it to me without being rude. Other than that rooms very clean and not that far from the beach!
