Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, service was quick and efficient. Location was perfect. Only downside is the room walls are extremely thin and about 1am when it neighbors got back to their room we could hear every word and laughter like they were sitting in our room with us, also the doors are very heavy and loud when people are coming and going at 5am and shakes the rooms around them.

I like the hotel but the shuttle service is bad. You need to call to request a shuttle. You only find this by asking the AI chatbot in the app (iOS), then it gives you a number to call, but the link is broken, so you need to copy and paste the number to place the call. it’s outsourced to a separate company, which connects you directly to a driver who talks to you while frantically navigating traffic. My driver gave me wrong instructions (hotel shuttle pickups are on the upper arrivals level, which he referred to as departures). Driver seemed aggressive but I guess it’s just LA and having to go through the LAX horseshoe multiple times a day, which would make anyone aggressive. Please run the shuttles regularly instead of requiring a call.

I stayed in room 160 and I’m not usually someone who goes out of the way to write a bad review, but THIS was slightly shocking that they’re still booking these rooms to guests. At first, I was extremely impressed with how large the room was at a reasonable price located close to the airport with a shuttle service. They were doing renovations so, to get to my room I had to go outside then through the gym to get to my room. Upon entering the room I started getting an unsettling feeling. I could hear people talking outside of my room and I checked the window to realize that it was a sliding glass door. The best part of the room was the adjustable shower sprayer. I tried to get ready for bed and just felt like the room was haunted or something. I even got that chilling feeling they describe in haunting shows if you believe in that kind of stuff. I ended up not even sleeping inside the bed. When I did finally fall asleep on top of the duvet and still fully made bed, I woke up to my throat nearly being closed up. Then within an hour I was vomiting. There was mold growing behind the peeling wall paper. The room looked like it had been renovated but they must’ve just covered the mold with wallpaper to “renovate”. I’ve never had a hotel room physically make me ill. I could blame it on “that time of year” or flu season, but I was completely fine with zero symptoms of illness before I stayed there. I’ll never be staying there again and I’m a Hilton honors member. I wouldn’t stay there if it was free.

I recently stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on Mariposa avenue and when my project ended earlier than expected, the cancelation of the 4th night resulted in a room rate change of more than 50%. Apparently, by changing from a 4-night stay to a 3-night stay, the corporate discount no longer applied. I have been staying at this hotel every two weeks for almost a year. Someone should have explained to me the price change for the last night and management will not honor the quoted price. As a diamond member, I will choose to no longer stay at this hotel.
