Arrived the 28 Dec 25 for one night after traveling from Australia. Paid $100 bond when requested on checking in. To date the bond (less one night parking) has not been refunded. Have emailed twice now requesting when the refund would occur. To date, this hotel has not responded.

Noise Disturbance at Night.
The main problem was the noise from a neighboring guest. We went to bed around midnight, and at about 2 a.m., we were woken up by someone next door talking extremely loudly on the phone. We called reception right away. They supposedly called the guest, but the noise didn’t stop. We had to call a second and a third time before someone from reception came to knock on the neighbor’s door, and only then did it quiet down temporarily.
It’s worth mentioning, though, that the next day we realized that sound insulation is generally poor in the hotel because even in the new room, during the daytime, we could still hear people talking through the walls. This is a general issue with the building’s soundproofing, not just a one-time incident.
The way the hotel handled the noise complaint was disappointing. We had to repeatedly ask for help in the middle of the night, and only after multiple calls did they offer to move us to another room. They initially claimed they had no spare rooms and only after the fifth or sixth call did they finally give us a new room in the early hours of the morning.
Another strange issue was the $400 deposit they charged us at check-in for a four-night stay, which seems excessive compared to the more standard $50 or $100 deposits we’ve encountered elsewhere.
When we arrived at 7 a.m., a staff member told us we could check in by noon. But when we returned at noon, another staff member said there were no rooms until 3 p.m. Eventually, the same man who had promised noon check-in showed up and suddenly a room was available. This inconsistency was very frustrating.
In summary, the poor noise insulation and the way the hotel handled these issues made our stay quite uncomfortable.
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is always super comfortable during my stay. It has a great restaurant with nice staff. The location is right next to the Mariposa Metro Stop and two stops away from the LAX Airport Metro Station which will eventually be directly connected to the airport via a people mover.
This location is 10 minutes via metro from the LAX Metro Station and once the APM at LAX is in service it will be roughly 20 minutes total with no cars or hassle to get to from the airport.
The food on my last stay was a refreshed menu and very good. I would say that there are no complaints.
The location is near a number of places including Flight Path Museum & Learning Center and Topgolf El Segundo

As a Marriott Titanium Elite, I was informed that Hilton would match my Marriott Platinum status, so I decided to give this hotel a try during a short trip to Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, the experience was inconsistent and ultimately disappointing. The evening check-in on the 17th was smooth and professional, and I appreciated the courteous service at that time. However, the morning of the 18th was a completely different experience. The service was unhelpful, unfriendly, and lacked the basic level of attentiveness I expect—especially when staying based on a loyalty status match.
Given the contrast in service quality and the overall experience, this stay did not justify moving my loyalty. I’ll be continuing to stay with Marriott, where service consistency and elite recognition have been far more reliable.
