New airport shuttle situation is a disaster and that was just the first issue. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) so we like to stay at the embassy suites. Few hotels accommodate 5 people in a room. Sadly, this stay was not up to their normal. This location recently outsourced their shuttle service to a third party company and we ended up waiting 45 minutes for the ride. I called when I got to the curb and they didn’t say anything about a long wait/delay. Had I known, it would have been worth considering other transportation. We had specifically picked this location because I had noticed the week before that they had a lot of shuttles— all those bigger bus shuttles were not just sitting unused. Front desk said they were sold to another hotel. When we unfolded the couch bed the sheet had a large 4” blood stain. I took that out to the desk and the staff was nice and apologetic, offered a free snack, and had house keeping bring a new sheet. Once we went to sleep the air conditioning and lights were acting up. The AC turned off in the middle of the night and I woke up because the room got so unbearably hot. I had a hard time getting back to sleep. The light above the couch bed randomly turned on a few times in the night as well so there is some electrical issue in the room. This was room 115. The pool was very murky, luckily we were traveling back from a vacation where the kids got to swim a lot so they were ok passing on the pool this time. Conditioner was empty in the shower. In the morning I let the front desk staff know about the AC and light issue. Again, they were very nice and offered me Hilton points for the poor night of sleep. That’s good customer service by today’s standards in my opinion. I decided to pay for a private ride to the airport in the morning and not risk the slow shuttle service. The good: staff was nice, the digital key worked in the app and we avoided a long check in line, room was quiet, and location is a 20 min walk to several places to eat. Kids did like the provided breakfast. Overall, I would not stay at this location again— it does not seem to be well managed. The week before we stayed at the Embassy Suites on the north side of LAX airport and that was better— no issues with AC or lights waking us up and better airport shuttle situation too. We all slept better at the north location.

We loved our stay! The beds were very comfortable, the room was very nice claan, and spacious. Check in went smoothly. The free Happy hour snacks and drinks were great! We also loved the free breakfast! They had everything you can imagine including made to order omlets which were great! The free shuttle from the airport was good and we didn't have to wait long.

The room and hotel itself were nice, but we came in during a time where the city was not adept to dealing with cold weather because they could not put the heater on for us until it was allowed to be turned on. I don’t know what that means but that is what we were told. It seems like some office somewhere controls the heating for this hotel. Therefore, we froze on the Friday night when we arrived and when the heat did go on, it was only on for a limited time. I called down several times to ask them to please put the heat on and this is the story they would tell me. My husband says that other people were complaining as well and all they would tell us is that it’s gonna go on soon, but it would never go on. They were nice enough to give us a small space heater, but it did not really help much. Not only was our room cold, but the entire hotel making it very uncomfortable to go down for breakfast or happy hour. Our safe in our room did not work. The phone in the living room did not work. I have never been to an Embassy suites where they have to monitor who goes and eats the breakfast and who goes to the happy hour. We had to present our room keys, we had to present identification, we had to show a card stating that we were allowed to have breakfast and happy hour, and we were limited to two drinks per person per day. I’m from Texas and the Embassy suites that I frequent in South Texas never does this. I think they need to restructure how breakfast is served in the common area as well as how the happy hour drinks are served because there’s a huge line and only one person accommodating everyone in line. This hotel needs a lot of help. I will definitely not be back to this Embassy suites.

Embassy suite south the lady in the front desk is so rude!!! Her duty is 4:20 AM when I went down to request if they have complimentary water and she looked at me and said “ that supposed to be for when you just checked in” I replied well I didn’t need it then, for 6 days we stayed in this hotel we didn’t even get our free drink! Those ladies in the front told us 2 pm to 10 pm for free drink but it turned out 2pm to 7pm only!

Stayed here for 3 nights just prior to a cruise. It was a very comfortable stay. The rooms were clean, which is a BIG THING for me when staying at hotels. The complimentary hot breakfast each morning was quite fulling. We ordered room service a few times for dinner, and they were surprisingly quick to deliver! My one and only complaint was that the heat would not sufficiently warm the room. However, when I complained to the first desk, they brought us a space heater and that did the trick! No more problems.
