While some staff members, like Abby and Jay, received praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, many reviews highlighted poor service, especially from front desk staff and maintenance.

I stayed at the DoubleTree El Segundo and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The biggest issue was a constant bad smell in the room that just wouldn’t go away no matter how much cleaning or freshening was done. It was strong enough to cause a headache and made it very difficult to sleep, turning what should have been a comfortable stay into a stressful one.
To be fair, the staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help, but even with their efforts, the problem never improved. It’s clear the issue goes beyond simple cleaning and needs serious attention from management.
Overall, despite the good service from the employees, the stay was extremely uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t return until they resolve this ongoing smell problem.

*****THE BEST TO EVER DO IT ****** ::: With that said, the location is literally within miles of LAX; via, and Airport Shuttle that is the epitome of convenient and accessible. Additionally, the room size is extremely welcoming; as is, sanitary, clean, and hygienic. Moreover, the Staff; Housekeeping; Dietary; and Management are impeccable as well. Lastly, the pricing structure is very affordable; especially, for guests traveling with families, friends, associates, and or colleagues.

Good experience overall. Minor issues I have with this property include the desk in my guest room not having a lamp or any adjacent light fixture or power outlets close to the part with the chair. Not that I needed to watch the TV, there was no remote for the TV or the option to switch it on with the Hilton Honors app. Kudos though for offering a QR code to tip the housekeeping staff using digital payments and I enjoyed the proximity of the property to a light rail station.

We’ve stayed here a few times after events at Kia Forum and So-Fi stadium. They’re generous with their chocolate chip cookies and the staff has consistently been friendly! The rooms are stocked with Crabtree & Evelyn products. It’s conveniently located near LAX, but I’m not aware if they have park, sleep, fly packages. There are in room coffee makers. The restaurant menu prices looked reasonable, but I didn’t dine there. The one king bed rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. Housekeeping does a great job!

Extremely unhappy with my stay at this hotel. No communication regarding shuttle service . Reception at front desk was not able to contact the shuttle so I had to take an Uber 40 USD. This after a 10 hour long flight. Additionally my room was not clean the bathroom had been used . Hairs on the shower wall . For 200 a night this is unacceptable. When I told front desk in morning not even an apology . She was too busy having a personal conversation with another employee of hotel . I will never stay at a Double Tree again!
