The staff are always so friendly, they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. The rooms are spotless, the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is quiet , no freeway noise. Shopping center across the street with restaurants. We stay here when we have to travel to SF for medical appointments. 15 miles to Golden Gate Bridge, roughly 30 minutes travel time, depending on traffic. Highly recommend , they also have a huge pool.

The location of this hotel is great, easy access to main road. A little bit disappointed with the room though. I put in a request to have a room on the higher floor when I booked the hotel which was months ahead of my stay, I was put on the first floor. Being on the first floor, it kind of forced us to keep the blinds closed which then caused the room to be a bit dark. A suggestion would be to upgrade to lights in the room to bright LED light bulbs then the right would be much brighter with the blinds closed. Another disappointment was that they offer no water bottles in the room or vending machine to purchase them. I thought that's a must for a hotel. Maybe trying to cut cost, but then I thought their room rate wasn't cheap too. That said, the room has the bare minimum and clean. The breakfast is the best thing in the hotel. It comes with the room. It has hot food, fruits, cereal bar, yogurt bar, pancake making machine, coffee, tea, just a lot for a complimentary breakfast. The hotel was marked as a 3 stars hotel. I think it should be a 2 stars hotel.

Rounded up to 3 stars, but this was a 2.5 star experience. While I didn't expect a luxury hotel, for $730 (the cost of a 3-night stay), I expected more than an old, dingy motel in need of TLC. My partner and I arrived late in the evening on a Thursday after 10 hours of driving. The front desk staff was nice. We checked in, got to our room on the first floor, and... the door to our room was open. Hm. Okay. Not a great start. Normally I would call the desk about this, but we were tired and just wanted to shower and sleep. We looked everywhere to make sure nothing and no one from outside had snuck in through the open door, then proceeded to settle in. After showering and changing into our PJs, my partner peed, flushed the toilet, and... it began to overflow. We didn't notice until water had filled the bathroom and started to run out into the carpeted main room. My partner ran in, removed the toilet tank cover, and held the stopper while I called the front desk. They sent a handyman. The handyman arrived, soaked up the water, and worked on the toilet. He told us the problem was that we flushed it twice in a row (? we did not do this). I called the front desk back, frazzled and exhausted, to ask if we were going to be moved to a new room. The front desk attendant said "...do you want a new room?" I said yes, and they agreed to move us, but how strange to even ask that question under the circumstances. By this point, I was still willing to give Best (Worst?) Western the benefit of the doubt. Things happen. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe Room #2 would be better than Room #1. Spoiler: Room #2 was not much better. The bathroom was in desperate need of repairs. Tiles in the shower were cracked and had been crudely repainted/sealed in a way that looked rushed and unprofessional. Wallpaper was peeling away from the wall. There was what looked like black mold lurking in the window crevices, but I was afraid to investigate further. At 4am, we were awoken by a loud, low rumbling noise. It sounded like a car engine outside. It was not a car engine, however, and the sound kept going... and going... and going. It would stop for 5-10 seconds, then start again. The noise was coming from the walls. It was only audible when you laid your head down on the pillows, as it was coming from the wall directly behind the headboard. It was inaudible everywhere else in the room. This felt like a cruel joke (and really poor building design). Other notable points: The beds sleep HOT. If you're a hot sleeper, you'll be sweatin' (even if you run the AC). The walls are thin. You can hear every car on the 101, plus the leaf blowers at the mall across the street (which start blowing between 5-6am). The cockroach we found in our room was thankfully of the three-lined variety - a minor nuisance in the Bay Area, but not a harmful pest like the infamous German cockroach. I'm sure the cleaning staff does their best to maintain this place. All things considered, both rooms looked fairly clean. There were no strange stains, smells, or hairs. I didn't see any bed bugs, but we kept our bags on the tables. To the staff at the front desk, you were kind and I recognize that none of this is your fault. To the management of this property, I sincerely hope you invest some of the money guests are paying you into much-needed updates, because...yikes.
