- JDJon D1 day ago2.0This is a tough one to rate. Too bad 2.5 stars was not an option. The good news is, with a little work and attention to detail, this could easily be a 4 or 5 star property. Here are the best things about the place. 1. Staff is outstanding, courtesy was top notch and everyone was so helpful. 2. Breakfast was great plenty of options. 3. Location really close to a lot of places, nice central location. 4. Room design, bedroom sitting room configuration is an industry leader!!!! Here are the things that need some improvement. Again, the beauty of this is, these items would be easy to fix. 1. Water pressure in the shower was marginal at best. But made even worse by the fact that the diverter was damaged and half the water went out the tub spout. 2. The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and creaked every time you shifted your weight. The box springs were maybe 2 inches high which really added to the problem. 3. HVAC was noisy and difficult to regulate. 4. At first glance the place looks good, however it seems to be suffering from deferred maintenance the place is on the verge of giving off a shop warn vibe if it doesn't already. I suspect that senior management needs to increase the budget to address this. (Mentioned the above items to a staff member I encountered in the hall. Though the staff member was very reluctant to comment, after our conversation it was pretty clear that these are property wide problems. The long and short of it, these are often reported problems with, I guess but am not sure, no fixes on the horizon.) In conclusion, this is somewhat of a premium priced property that doesn't provide a comensurate lodging experience to match. Two choices to bring this into line. Either reduce the price or fix those things that need improvement. This is still a really nice property so if it was me, I'd opt for the latter.

- ABAshley BahrNov 15, 20255.0We love this hotel for when we go to the Improv here in Brea. It's walkable (about 3/4 mile, no steep inclines) and they have underground parking. Their morning breakfast is always a great way to cap off the trip. My only real complaint is that the beds could be more comfortable; they're a little on the firm side, but I do prefer a soft mattress so take that with a grain of salt!
