Honestly one of the best hotels I've been to in big bear in a very long time. Great service, clean and family friendly. Very homey feeling. The indoor pool was a plus. The view while snowing also so beautiful and the patio was just delightful. Can't wait to come again.

This place feels very homey and has a nice patio outside with pretty light decorations. The breakfast is nice and basic, which is good if you’re on the go. Everyone was hospitable and kind, I would definitely come back!!

Be warned there is a $29/day parking fee. It is included on the website, but didn't exist when we stayed here last year. It feels like a blatant cash grab, given that this is a small town hotel, and one doesn't normally expect big city parking fees at small town hotels. Be sure to factor this in with your price shopping with other hotels in the area.
Furthermore, the breakfast was more spartan than I'm used to at Home2/Hampton. No muffins or pastries. Just bagels. They might have been out on the morning we had breakfast, but then that's just a service failure instead of cost-cutting.
Also be warned to get a room on an upper floor. We stayed on the main floor, and the guests above us sounded like they were stomping around in clogs. Not a solidly-built, sound-proof hotel.
The location is good, the rooms are clean, and the facilities modern. But the nickel and diming and shoddy construction leave a bad taste in one's mouth.
