Dear upper management,
I’m reaching out to share my experience at the Beverly Hilton hotel. When I arrived, I was trying to check in for my two rooms, but I received absolutely no assistance or service. Right from the start, the interaction was incredibly unprofessional and lacked any semblance of customer service. The individual, who I later found out is your hotel manager, was extremely rude and completely unhelpful regarding my reserved rooms.
For some reason, she insisted that we only had one room booked on the day we arrived, despite me showing her multiple confirmations for two rooms. She bluntly told me it wasn’t her issue and refused to assist me.
Since we arrived late that day, I had no choice but to book another room at three times the original price. I tried to show her the confirmation again, but she was not interested in listening.
Given that this was our first stay here and my first interaction was with her, I usually wouldn’t take the time to write this, but as someone in the service industry, I feel this needs to be addressed. It was the most unbelievable behavior I’ve ever encountered.
If it weren’t for the fact that we were there for business and the overall experience with the hotel staff, I wouldn’t recommend or return.
However, the other staff members we interacted with were incredibly kind and wonderful. I want to give a shout-out to the all the valet workers, Jamie and David, and another gentleman when we left at 6am, who was exceptionally gracious, as well as the housekeeper and restaurant staff, especially Frank. They were absolutely fantastic.
I hope to receive a credit back for the third room I was charged for, which was excessively priced, and I never got a refund for the second room that the hotel manager refused to address.
As a reputation for this establishment, please do not disregard this as this will continue.
I will be writing to upper management as well but wanted this to be addressed.
Thank you for your time,
Janelle

This will seem silly to some, but I value hospitality and basic respect. This review is primarily for the woman who I spoke with at the front desk, valet check out and hostess of Circa 55. Yesterday, Thursday October 30th, I enjoyed breakfast with my friend, who was a guest of the Waldorf, to celebrate my birthday. Upon leaving we thought it would be nice to use the photo-booth for a little memorabilia before heading out. We attempted to use the machine and did not receive our print. The hostess who was not only not present when we arrived to the restaurant, she was also completely unfamiliar with how to troubleshoot. All we were told was “we can’t give you a refund because we do not make revenue off the machine.” Yet when I brought this up to the front desk, this elderly woman working said that this had happened a few times this week yet hotel staff was still allowing guests to waste their time and money ($7.50). The only point of confronting the front desk was to let them know and perhaps have them put an out of order sign. The woman was politely condescending (the worst) when I told her nearly 8 dollars for a photo was a lot to not receive a refund and she had the nerve to tell me that the price was “cheap” and reminded us we were in a 4-star hotel. Mind you an incredibly outdated subpar 4-star hotel in comparison to any other. So I asked her that if this was a “4-star” hotel with broken machines what sort of reflection is that of you. It was never about a couple of dollars, but about principle. And to imply I was out of my depth is so disrespectful and insulting. She is clearly someone’s grandmother who should no longer be in hospitality so I left politely. I can assure you she would not speak with a male guest this way. Luckily the serving staff at Circa 55 were wonderful. As well as the valet gentlemen. Otherwise completely overrated hotel that could use training in hospitality.

Horrible check in process. I contacted Hilton directly last week and corporate let me know I would hear from the hotel management staff in 48 hours. Over a week later, no contact. At the end of the day, the issue is management and how they treat people. They just don’t care. The desk service reps are great. But the leadership is horrible. For the price you pay to stay here, you deserve better. Spend your money where you’re valued.

THE NOISE ISSUE IS REAL and once you check in, there will be no remedy. It is impossible to have a luxury experience here until they complete construction and sound proof the rooms from the street noise. Pool was a listed amenity but it's closed while under construction. Management sent many text messages, asking if we were happy with our stay, these always went unanswered ... when we replied back, asking what could be done about the noise. The front desk staff was equally dismissive and overall cold and soulless in their customer contact. I had asked one front desk for a bottled water and received it no issue. the next day, I asked another for a bottle and the receptionist rejected my request with a scolding, reminding me, how these were only for welcoming guests. I think the staff and teams here are so over the noise complaints that it has tainted most aspects of their customer service protocol. On a positive note rooms are nice and location convenient. A great stay, maybe, if you are hearing impaired.

What ever these staff are paid, it isn’t enough. Being a solo traveler can sometimes feel intimidating but the team here was so welcoming from start to finish. I unexpectedly needed feminine care products and the front desk was so helpful in getting me taken care of. Housekeeping got my room so tidy, I was giggling in disbelief. They folded up my pajamas, organized the misc. toiletries I scattered around the bathroom, and even rolled up my obnoxiously long phone charger. I love that there’s water bottle refilling stations on each floor. If I ever get the chance to come back to Beverly Hills, I’d have zero hesitation staying here again or suggesting it to a friend. I was able to walk to Century City Mall (though around some annoying construction/closed sidewalks), but walking to Rodeo Drive was so easy. I felt safe walking around as a solo woman traveler, too. Thank you, team Beverly Hilton for such a memorable experience.
