- MMMichelle ManeotisNov 1, 20251.0Very rude customer service at front desk. No one was available for a long period of time to check in. We asked for extra towels before we had even arrived and it was not given to us. When we finally found someone at the front desk to assist, she was annoyed by us having to ask about towels and didn't want to go get them but left her friend she was eating with in the lounge and went to get them. We assumed it was going to be a short trip to the towels, such as a closet but that is not what happened. She was gone at least 20 minutes and I can't imagine how or why. When she did return, we barely had any extra towels, she brought one large towel and to hand towels, supposedly for three people for two days this was supposed to cover matters. The room was smelly and had no windows to open, we did not feel well when we stayed there at all. Everyone felt sick and the air is too stagnant in the room. We asked for a different room but was told it was much higher in the building and since we had asked for a ground floor to begin with, that wasn't going to work. They also sneak into your bill a $40 parking FEE which is BS because the parking is right below the hotel, where the first floor would be. All the cooking utensils were broken and unusable after we went shopping for food and returned to cook, we could not. Hotel staff never did anything about any of this and has since charged us for a room when we had an emergency and could not make it that night. They are relentlessly rude and disrespectful and hateful towards us as guests. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Half the people there act like they barely speak english and act like they can't understand you. All a joke of pretending to not hear you and therefore they don't have to do their job. They act like they can't hear you or even know you are there when you call. I guess the manager name starts with P, no one can annunciate it properly, it sounds like Pyle, but I am definitely certain I am hearing them wrong. Since english seems to be their second language, I have no idea honestly. It's almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone there anyway, they seem to keep a skeleton staff to maintain the entire property and it's NOT working. You'd think in an UPSCALE place like Belmont, close to SF that these people could pull off some common sense hotel service but they can't. If you call, you're going to want to prepare to possibly be on the phone for an hour likely and they don't care about your time or money. Just rude people that will intentionally ignore and refuse to help you, just to infuriate you beyond belief.
