overall great stay, only complaint: my family and i (POC) experienced microaggressions from the staff member making omelets in the morning. she treated my family and i much differently from the other hotel guests (white). i understand perhaps she was having a rough early morning, but that does NOT justify the rude way she treated my family and i in comparison to other guests at this hotel.

Like all Embassy Suites, this location has the things my wife and I value most in a hotel: real suites with a separate bedroom and a door, and excellent (and included) breakfast with a made-to-order omelet station along with anything else you could expect from a hotel breakfast.
They do also offer the free drinks at reception just like other Embassy Suites, although only at certain times so make sure to check that. (True of all Embassy Suites.)
This Embassy Suites does not have the atrium that most of them do but it still has a very nice lobby and an outdoor pool where the atrium would otherwise be.
It does seem to be a slightly older hotel and you can see that in places like the elevator or the walkways, but the lobby and rooms seem to have been fully renovated and are nice and modern. One quirk with the rooms at this Embassy Suites is that maybe they were originally designed differently and it seems like the placement of the bathroom means the living room is pretty small while the bedroom is gigantic. It’s not a big deal at all, though, because the point is just to have a place for two people to be who are on somewhat different sleep schedules. And it fulfills that purpose.
This location also does have microwaves in the rooms, which not all Embassy Suites do. That’s a big plus. Of course there’s also a fridge and that weird sink in the living room that all Embassy Suites seem to have. (I guess it makes it seem more like a mini-kitchen).
The location is close to ASU and there are various restaurants and other things around. Like most of the Phoenix area, you probably still need to drive anywhere. But not far.
Will stay here again if we’re ever back in the area and in need of a hotel.

Had to stay here for my kid’s team chosen hotel. On day 4 found a roach in the bathroom. Guy at the front desk joked about it saying that he got past our defenses. Called Hilton to complain and he (the manager) called back only offering 10,000 points. When I called Hilton back demanding a full refund he refused saying he’ll only refund one night. It’s a business but this is unacceptable.
Then my son goes into the hot tub and come out with a chemical burn on his lip. I wouldn’t recommend it here.

As a HH member we have stayed in a number of Embassy Suites around the country. I was very disappointed with this property. It is right on the freeway and the noise is unbelievable. The manager was very kind and helped me transfer to another room on the other side of the property. Unfortunately, the door to the balcony didn’t close properly, leaving half an inch of a gap and I could hear the cars on the freeway constantly. The pluming is lacking, toilet flushed slowly and a broken handle to close the water in the shower. But I would have forgiven and forgotten everything if I wasn’t so upset with the behavior of Diane, the person in charge of the bar. We were here attending a soccer tournament in town. A lot of young adults staying at the hotel. She was impatient, rude, annoyed with them and with us parents. Made us feel unwelcome every single time we set foot at the bar or restaurant. Thank goodness for the manager, a very pleasant lady.
