I just spent a few days at the Hilton Bell Rock in Sedona and honestly didn’t want to leave. Even though the property is going through renovations right now, the experience was still fantastic. The staff make this place what it is — everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to servers, housekeeping, concierge… every single person seemed happy to be there, and it shows. I stayed in a beautiful suite with a balcony and a great view. The fireplace was such a cozy touch, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved having a fridge and microwave. The holiday decorations are adorable, and the s’mores kits were such a cute extra. The food at the restaurant was great, and the outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to unwind at night. One thing I cannot recommend enough is the free Saturday morning talk (10:00–11:30). The gentleman who leads it is incredible — insightful, grounded, and honestly exactly what my head and heart needed on this trip. Sedona is magical on its own, but that talk added so much to my weekend. The resort is pet-friendly (my dog was treated like royalty!), and the concierge gave really honest advice about which hikes are actually worth it and which ones are just Instagram hype. Parking can get a little hectic, so it helps to find out which side your room is on before you unload everything. Stargazing at night is amazing from this property too. As I’m writing this, I’m sitting by the outdoor fire pit with music playing and the red rocks glowing — it’s just a special place. I can’t wait to come back and see the finished renovations. Great spot for families, couples, solo travelers… anyone who wants an easy, welcoming base in Sedona. Highly recommend.

Front entrance of hotel is undergoing rehab which causes congestion with folks trying to enter/exit the property. Staff were very personable and accommodating (Elizabeth was very welcoming at check in). Room was dated and in need of TLC. “Suite” should be used loosely as it was very basic with an exceptional view of the parking lot = overall resort is charging Diamond level prices for gold level accommodations. Especially disappointing was the amount of room service dishes and trash that littered the hallways after first shift finished for the day. Certainly appeared that there wasn’t any housekeeping during afternoon or evening hours. Great location for proximity to major hiking trails but not worth burning your points or paying astronomical price for basic accommodations.

I came to Sedona to celebrate my birthday and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Hilton property. To be honest, this resort felt more like if Motel 6 decided to make a “resort.” The entire property is extremely dated. It’s obvious they’ve tried to make some updates here and there, but it’s like when your grandparents decide not to do a full remodel and just patch things up instead. The walls had uneven plaster, the grounds were dirty, and the spa looked grimy with old buildup in the hot tub. Everything felt worn, dingy, and neglected — not the kind of “old” that’s charming, but the kind that’s just not clean. When we arrived around 1 PM, we were told our room wasn’t ready until 4, which was fine. We got a call around 3:45 that our room was ready, but didn’t return until about 6 PM after an excursion. From the moment we started walking to our room, everything felt dark, dated, and unkempt. The baseboards were dusty, the walls scuffed, and there was even a dried feather boa hanging on our door. Once inside, the room smelled stale and didn’t feel freshly cleaned. The bathroom was especially bad — the toilet seat was yellowed, bubbled, and clearly needed replacing. Everything just looked grimy. Later that night, I wiped down some surfaces with Clorox wipes and was horrified by how much dirt came off. The wipes were black with grime. My friend showered and found clumps of someone else’s hair stuck to the shower curtain. I took photos of everything — it was that bad. We tried to make the best of it and went to the on-site restaurant, but that was another disaster. Our server disappeared after taking our order for an appetizer and salad. When we asked another staff member for straws, he told us our server was busy because he was “serving the GM’s table.” I couldn’t believe he said that to paying guests — incredibly unprofessional. Eventually, the Director of Food & Beverage, Elijah, came over and took over our table personally. He was the only redeeming part of the evening. He was kind, professional, and honestly made the best espresso martinis I had during my entire trip. The food was just okay — my friend liked it, but it wasn’t anything special. When we returned to our room, we reported everything to a manager named Lily Fox. She was embarrassed and sent housekeeping up at nearly 10 PM. Housekeeping only cleaned the bathroom — not the rest of the room. At that point, I didn’t even feel comfortable showering or brushing my teeth. The next morning, we tried to grab the “grab-and-go” coffee that was supposed to start at 5:30 AM. At 5:56, the bar area was still completely dark. The front desk told us the barista hadn’t shown up yet. When the coffee finally came out, it was lukewarm at best, and the staff started arguing in front of guests about whose fault it was. Eventually, a manager apologized and comped our coffee, which should’ve been the bare minimum since it was $10 for a cold cup of drip coffee. Finally, before checking out, I asked to speak with a manager named Michael Martinez. After showing him all the photos and describing everything that happened in less than 24 hours, he apologized and comped our entire stay. I appreciated that gesture, but it doesn’t change the fact that this resort is in terrible condition and completely misrepresents the Hilton brand. This property badly needs a full renovation and better management. Until that happens, I would strongly advise anyone visiting Sedona to stay elsewhere.

Nothing like the pictures online shows. For the price we paid for the room with a view I was very disappointed. The room was okay but a lot smaller than expected. The balcony was about 6 feet by 5 feet with the sides of the building jaunting out so we were limited on the view. The beds were quite uncomfortable, not all the elevators worked so we had to pack our suitcases up and down the stairs until we found one that worked. Parking is horrendous. We had to park quite a ways away. The TV didn’t work. We could only watch a channel for a couple of minutes then it would say channel offline. YouTube was the only one that worked longer. Front desk staff were mediocre. We will not be going back. Especially for the price we paid.

I spent three nights at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock. I wanted a treat for my birthday. It was my first real vacation in about 20 years. First the good - the room looked EXACTLY like it did in the booking photo, with the fireplace and lovely view. It was clean and comfy. The "porch" near the main lobby had fire pits and a very nice water fountain. Now, the not-so-good, the front door of the hotel was obscured by construction. Parking was charged at a rate of $25 a day and not included in the separate daily "resort fee." It felt a little usury. No one bothered to say where the gym was and I never received a list of the fitness classes the place was supposed to have. Nothing was in the room about any of the gym or spa offerings. My first night I ordered room service from a very limited menu I could only access via QR code and when I called I found the posted offerings were inaccurate. What I finally got, a meat and cheese tray was okay but not "resort" quality. Literally just meat and cheese on a plate. The gentleman who delivered it, however, was incredibly nice. When I tried to order room service for lunch the next day, a very gruff staff member told me there was none. I had to call back after 3 p.m. No one answered the phone when I tried to order breakfast. The second time I ordered dinner, the turtle cheesecake was delicious, but the linguine and chicken were inedible. And finally, the ugly. I tried to book a massage at the spa. The person answering the phone wouldn't take the appointment but said she would call me back. I had given up on that happening when they called me back three hours later but had no appointments until 3 pm in the afternoon. When I asked if he could let me know if a cancellation before noon happened, he got an attitude, as if that would be too much trouble. I never heard from them again. I wound up booking a spa day at a place about 30 minutes away from the Hilton. Having to drive back to my room in Sedona traffic kinda' killed the vibe of a spa day. I didn't even realize the hotel knew I was there for my birthday (even though it was noted on the reservation) until checkout when the young woman mentioned it. Marketing department may want to work on the "make the guest feel special" part of the experience. All-in-all, I was happy with the room but there were no real hotel or resort "amenities." My experience was more a struggling mom-and-pop shop, not a luxury Hilton resort property. Go for the room, but expect to go elsewhere for a gym, meals, and spa treatments.
