Unfortunately, one of the top worst hotel stays we’ve had out of any hotel stay in a while. The major issues were with cleanliness of the rooms and overall enforcement of protocol/policies. The room had a very overwhelming ‘funk’ to it - we were placed in one of the older not-yet-renovated rooms (number 134). The A/C unit smelled so strongly of harbored/growing bacteria that the entire room smelled of body odor/bacterial growth, we had to go so far as to spray fragrance spray every so often around the A/C to encourage it to blow breathable scent into the air - eventually we opted to sleep with the unit off. The bathroom had visible mold growth on the ceiling above the stool, presumably because the bathroom vent did not work. We decided against using the shower (and stool as best we could) and decided to stay in the room only for a short sleep and shower at our family’s home down the road. We were in a first floor room just behind the check-in desk and continually between the hours of 10:00pm and 2:30am there were 3-4 pre-teen guests racing down the halls screaming, shouting, slamming doors, leaving the exterior exit propped open for extended time, and leaving their dog unattended, that made for an extremely loud night. While I would normally NOT consider rowdy guests to be a fault of the hotel staff - and we did receive a check-up text when arriving - I did not feel that we should have to text or call the front desk for assistance when the staff could not possibly be unaware of an issue at this volume for 4 1/2 consecutive hours. Staff was present in the lobby during this period, it was not a matter of being unaware. It is neither appropriate nor reasonable for an adult guest to correct another guests’ minor aged children in the middle of the night. Overall the check in/out was smooth, staff was relatively friendly, the sheets appeared to be clean and pest free, pet policy was fair and easy - but the presence of mold, tangible bacteria smell, and uncontrolled premises makes me unlikely to recommend or return to this location that our family has used for over 10 years.

Upon entering, the lobby felt clustered. The free coffee was great and tasted fantastic. The service was alright, though it did feel like the woman behind the desk might have been inebriated, which was a bit disconcerting. The breakfast was very poorly seasoned, but I do appreciate that it was warm and didn’t run out absurdly early. The room itself was beautiful. When we first walked in, we thought, “Wow, this is awesome.” Then we sat on the bed and felt the pillows… and we knew we were in for a long night. And boy, what a long night it was. We woke up aching and exhausted from the hardness of the bed and the lumps in the pillows. I personally would avoid this inn because the whole purpose is to sleep, and you won’t get a good night’s rest here.

Stay away! I wasn’t crazy about the place when we walked in. There was a smell to it. I’m not sure what it was, but it just wasn’t clean. We walked into our room and we could tell right away that it was not kept or very clean. I went to the bathroom and noticed hair on the floor by the toilet, maybe public hairs, maybe some curly beard hair. Regardless, it was nasty. Then, I noticed additional things. Check out the pictures. My husband asked for another room and the lady at from desk was indifferent. She told my husband to get her stuff out of the room before she could give us another room. We took our stuff out of the room and went back to the front desk. She didn’t apologize, she didn’t say anything. She just handed us another key. The new room did not have any pubic hairs on the floor, but it was not any better. Honestly, I was afraid I was going to get bedbugs. You can tell that they do not care about customer service. They do not care about cleanliness. The room was not presentable at all. Check out the pictures I added, and you can get an idea of what I mean.
