  I Am an experienced solo traveler, and I have never been scared until my stay at this hotel. I was given a key to my room that did not work and the gentleman at the desk was aware that he had given me a key that would fail to work. Upon receiving my second key, he offered to go up with me "to make sure the key worked" which I refused the offer, as it was after midnight and there was no on in the lobby or hallways. As I was walking down the hallway, this same man, opened the door to the stairs, where he emerged from, after me telling him not to come, and to no one's surprise the room key he provided me did not work, Thankfully, I was on the phone with my husband, explaining the situation and which room I was in and the description of the man standing before me, The Man then pulled out the keys from his pocket and opened my room, I entered the room once the man stepped back far enough for me to get in and close the door. I locked the dead bolt. As nervous as this made me, I got ready for bed, so approx 45 mins, later I hear my door handle jiggling. So, at this point my only options are, stay, try to leave, or call police for an escort out of the hotel. At this point it is after 2 am ,I decided to place all furniture that is not attached to the wall in front of the door, all the towels, trash cans, etc. I did not sleep. I stayed on the phone the whole night with my husband, and I left first thing in the morning. I have called and spoken one of the managers, and I am awaiting a call from the Main manager, who did not call when I was told they would. I will be calling daily to have this resolved. Female solo travelers stay Vigilant!!! Following the comment from the Tru staff.. I have reported this incident to the Tru by Hilton corporate and I did receive a call back once I when to a higher office, However, The phone was unable to be answered, so upon returning the call, I have yet to receive an answer. "I will reach out to you or your husband if that would make you feel more secure. " this statement is very patronizing. Your staff are the reason this incident occurred. It is part of you hospitality to follow someone to their room after it was voiced that an escort was not needed ? I felt very uncomfortable and scared after this incident. The room keys should work. As someone who works in the customer service industry this is unacceptable.

  When arriving at the hotel to check in the night deskperson couldn't seem to get us checked in fast enough to get back to her "conversation " with the person standing at the desk and the next morning the deskperson was not nice at all no smiles or anything. They told my mother they couldn't accept cash and had to put everything on our room I was not impressed at all

  Ravaged a bit by the younger crowds; Did Not deserve or slightly merit its 2-star rating. It an easy 4-Star no question. Room, w 2 beds was super squeaky clean with superb 4th floor views of the E Prattville area; My expectations were set right; Holds it own vs any Hampton Inn per price & convenience. Hot Bkfst was above avg., props for havin chz omelettes and Fresh creamer. Expected pricing- They gots an open outdoor pool; Get on the Hilton app and rack up the points & free nights. Staff on it, pleasant, and v helpful.
