Awful very run down old hotel. Nothing on the website about construction remodeling or paid parking.Be prepared when you arrive. Spent a week there signs everywhere about construction and remodeling, but no workers. And nothing being done. Mold in the rooms, bathrooms and hallways. Dirty carpets, dirty rooms and no daily housekeeping. Even when you request. HVAC system is out so have no expectations there either.

Maintenance and staff seems to have given up at this hotel. Carpets were dirty. Entry door and bathroom door were literally coming off the hinges. No soap or shampoo in the dispensers. Shower curtain rod was broken. Burned out desk lamp. Broken outlets and USB receptacles on nightstand. Curtains coming off rods. Missing towel rods. Breakfast offerings were good and of standard Hampton quality. Historical building has great potential and renovation of 20% of floors is underway but not a reason to let maintenance be so poor on what is being rented.

Warm room. Fake thermostat in our room. Would not adjust and always read a wrong temperature. Street was loud all night with motorcycles and singing from the outdoor bar. Staff was nice. Can’t believe hotels don’t let you adjust the temperature anymore.

I've stayed at hundreds of hilton properties over the years and this may be the worst I've experienced. The lady who checked us in didn't say 2 words. The room was gross and didn't have basic hotel amenities (no hairdryer, no iron, no lotion). The shower had 4 extra bottles of empty shampoos and shower gels sitting on every shelf in the shower but a broken shower head and moldy ceiling. The only reason for the 2nd star is location. It's right downtown though not much was open on a Tuesday evening and it is notoriously unsafe to walk around after dark despite heavy police presence. Just avoid this one.
