Our room was dirty, smelled damp and the tub had a yellow ring stain around it. I asked to change rooms they gave me key to a room that was dirtier than the first room. None of the double bed room had a fridge or microwave. I have medication that requires refrigeration, They ended up upgrading us to a suite with a single bed so I could have a fridge. Get to the new room and the refrigerator didn’t even work. I decided to just put my meds in the ice bucket and fill it with ice…. Get to the ice room and the ice machine didn’t work on our floor. I tried the ice machine on multiple other floor none of them worked. Went back to my room to wash my hands and the sink was stopped up, tried to take a shower and the tub was stopped up.
If you’re thinking about staying here please don’t. Spare yourself the headache. They’re only saving grace was the receptionist was very nice and sweet.

I did not even get to reserve the room because I was angry. I circled the area because the ramp entrance was kinda hard to find as the pick up area was hard to see through fence while driving, im short in a not tall vehicle. I waited about 4 minutes for the desk reception personel to actual to come back to speak to me. The had little availability and only had doubles, double the price I was expecting. I tried to get the military discount, not the special one, but they gave me number for coprate reservations to get authorization so that was the last straw for me, just to get a discount.

I wanted to leave a review because I saw a lot of horrible reviews. This hotel is in a very convenient location, right downtown. I was able to walk most everywhere. Every staff member I encountered was courteous, friendly, and accommodating. There are a few things about the rooms that could use attention or updating but my room was clean and completely adequate to sleep in for a few days while I attended a conference. I would definitely feel comfortable staying here again.
Title: The Worst “3.5-Star” Hotel — More Like 0.5 Stars
I rarely write reviews, but this hotel was so bad that I feel compelled to.
I stayed here for two nights in Montgomery for a friend’s wedding. I booked through Amex Travel, and while the reception area looked clean, that was the only decent part of the hotel.
There were no complimentary water bottles, no breakfast service (even though I’m a Hilton Gold member, they told me that bookings through Amex are not eligible for any Hilton benefits), and not even a small refrigerator in the room. The room wasn’t properly cleaned, the bathroom glass was cracked and poorly repaired, and after taking a shower, water leaked out behind the shower booth, flooding the entire bathroom floor.
Is this really a 3.5-star hotel?
As for parking, I was never informed of a $14 daily fee at check-in. I later found out that since it was the weekend, parking around the hotel was allowed. I told the receptionist this on the second day, and they acknowledged it. However, after checking out, I discovered that I was charged $28 for both nights anyway.
I almost filed a dispute but decided to call the hotel first. The staff didn’t even apologize — they just asked for my confirmation number and phone number, said they’d check, and then hung up on me. When I didn’t receive a call back after 20 minutes, I called again. Another staff member answered, seemed either careless or unwilling to help, and I had to repeat my confirmation number twice. They said the refund would be processed to my card and hung up. again, no apology whatsoever.
This place offers terrible service and poor facilities. Do yourself a favor, don’t stay here. You’ll have a far better experience at a 2-star business hotel in terms of price, service, and overall comfort.

My husband and I stayed at the DoubleTree in Montgomery Downtown, and our experience was very disappointing.
Although the front desk staff was kind and polite, the hotel itself feels old and poorly maintained. Our room had a musty smell, the mirrors were broken, and pieces were literally falling off while we were there.
There was no refrigerator, and each bottle of water cost $5, which is unreasonable. Every time we took a shower, the bathroom completely flooded, and we had to use all the towels just to dry the floor.
We asked to change rooms, but were told there were no available rooms, even though the hotel was clearly not at full capacity. Their only solution was to give us more towels, which didn’t fix the problem.
On top of that, they charge for parking per night, which I could understand if space was limited—but there were plenty of parking spots available. We ended up leaving our car outside the hotel instead.
Overall, this hotel does not meet DoubleTree standards, and I would not recommend staying here.
