The room we were given was a handicap accessible room & was reportedly the only king room available during our stay. The option for a double queen room was there, but given my boyfriend is 6'4" that is not a comfortable option for him. So, while we felt bad taking an accessible room when we didn't need those additional features, we took it for the king bed. Unfortunately, we regretted that choice. The bed was broken down on one side, causing one person to sink into that side. It was also broken down enough that our feet were more elevated than our heads. It definitely didn't make for a good nights sleep. Add in the mini fridge making loud noises reminiscent of a Gremlin, the AC making loud snapping noises & not cooling the room below 65 or running all night, it was a looooong night; and not in a good way. Upon checkout, I did report the issues to the front desk staff, so hopefully they're making plans to address all of the issues, but my biggest issue is how long was that bed left like that? Would we stay here again? Very likely, yes given the location, but we'll be inspecting the rooms before getting comfortable next time.

We felt at home and comfortable. I would like to say the breakfast was amazing. This is the 1st location that served grits and sausage gravy. Plus, I’ve never seen toppings for the waffles and oatmeal with sooo many options anywhere else. I will stay here again if passing through Alabama again. Thank you to our housekeeper Ericka- you rock.
