We stayed here for New Year’s Eve this year. Had a great time. We have stayed here many times in the past. Location is great for walking to dinner, shopping, or the park for the children. I wanted to leave a review this time to say how helpful the front desk staff were. I left a large toiletry bag with hundreds of dollars of products and jewelry in it. The staff called me on my drive home and made me aware. They were kind enough to ship it to my home address. A HUGE thank you!!!

Rooms were very dated, dirty with a strong chemical smell. Too bad because the location is amazing.

This stay was disappointing, especially for the $141.90 nightly rate, which did not reflect the condition of the room. It felt closer to a $50 hotel than a Hampton Inn.
The location is nice, and the front desk associate who checked me in was friendly and professional, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the room itself was not up to standard. The toilet had not been flushed, the mirror was smudged, and there was hair in the shower drain. The room also had a mold/mildew smell, a stained chair, a plastic collar stay left behind from a previous guest, and a burned-out lightbulb. Overall gave the impression they don't care about their guests. The tv did not have the option to stream any services like Netflix either.
These are basic housekeeping and maintenance issues that should have been caught before check-in. I’m posting this so management is aware, as this stay did not meet expectations for the price or the brand.
I should've stayed at literally anywhere else.

I’m reviewing this hotel from many years experience of coming here. I enjoy coming to Fairhope a lot. The Hampton Inn has been such a convenience of walking distance to the shops and restaurants. But this trip was different as far as the hotel is. This Hampton Inn is in dire need of some upgrades . The chairs in the breakfast area has been around since I can remember and you sink into them. The cushions are shot. I’m a pet lover and have pets myself, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to have your dog in the dining area feeding them table food where everyone else is eating. Don’t mind it’s a pet friendly hotel but I think they need to at least keep the pets out the dining area. The mattresses just like the chairs are way over due to be changed out. The mattresses are worn out and very uncomfortable. More uncomfortable from this trip than any in the past. In fact I even left a day early than I was supposed to due to the fact they are so bad. I know this hotel does well and it would seem that they would want to keep things fresh and comfortable rather than letting the hotel lose its charm. My next trip to Fairhope will be at another hotel until this one updates its accommodations.
