Leslie did a great job making us feel welcome and tending to our needs. The pool was open in November and that is a plus.

The front desk clerk seemed to be under the influence of something. The lady looked as if she had a rough night of partying the night before or she was on drugs of some kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. I have no complaints. Some of the staff are questionable and some are really professional. One day it was as if it was nothing but a play day for the staff as I seen employees walking around talking on the phone carrying a clip board and laughing and cutting up with some of the cleaning ladies and the lady was not in uniform like the other staff. It made me wonder who was actually staff and who wasn't. I approached a lady that was carrying a clip board and asked for towels. Before she could respond to me she quickly answered her phone and started conversating as she looked at me and said that she would send a housekeeper back with the towels and walked off carrying on her conversation. She didn't ask what room number I was in or anything. I patiently waited for about 10 minutes out in front of the elevator for someone to bring the towels and nobody came so I went down stairs to ask the front desk. There was not anyone in sight at the front desk so I waited patiently again and decided to give up and return to my room. As I was entering the elevator a nice older lady that was in housekeeping asked if I needed anything. I told her I needed towels. She immediately grabbed what I needed off of the cart she had and gave it to me. Now why couldn't the other lady do that for me? She was more worried about her phone and walking around acting as if she was a superior around the hotel. I surely hope that's not the image that Hilton is trying to portray. The next day things seemed to be very different. Everyone was more focused on what they were supposed to be doing. No laughing and cutting up. No phone conversations going on. Front desk was even focused. I figured that the boss man or lady had been off the day before since such nonsense and unprofessionalism was going on but the next day the boss was on duty since everyone was more attentive and focused. The boss, whoever he or she is might want to take a second thought before taking off and leaving the hotel in the hands of whoever was in control that one day. The rest of my stay was quiet pleasent. It was that first day that had me considering going elsewhere to stay.

At time of my arrival I approached the front desk to check in and the young lady was laid over on the desk sleeping. I got her attention and she raised up with a dazed look and proceeded to ask my information through slurred speech to check me in. As I step on the elevator a young lady ( whom I assumed was part of management due to the hand radio on her side and the clipboard in her hand ) was having a conversation over the phone that was clearly inappropriate with curse words coming from the lady but she proceeded to tell the person on the phone that she was the best employee that the hotel had and she gets compliments from higher management about her ability to do things as expected when the other manager was off. I then started to wonder what I was going to encounter as I opened the door to the room. .. I was in much surprise that everything was perfect. I had decided to go out by the pool to relax from a long drive and that same lady now in a see through white T-shirt out by the pool carrying on another phone conversation that included more profanity. The next day I went down for breakfast and asked a older lady for towels. That lady was totally opposite of the others I encountered. She was very polite and asked if I needed anything and don't hesitate to let her know of anything that I might need during my stay. I passed the same lady in the hallway a few times and she had a smile on her face and asked me each time if everything was okay and if I needed anything. I asked the housekeeper that was cleaning the room next to mine who the nice lady was and she informed me that she was the manager of housekeeping. I must say that if I had not encountered that nice lady who made my stay so much better and made me feel welcomed and accommodated I would have checked out early and went to a different hotel. I didn't get the name of the nice lady but because of her and her attitude and the way she treats guest is the only reason for me to finish out my week stay at that hotel. That lady is a huge asset to that hotel and the owners need more employees like her!! Thank you to that nice lady for making my stay at Home 2 Suites the best!! I will return but I will call first to make sure that lady is still an employee at the hotel. Overall she made my stay and experience for the week great and for that I give her 5 stars. Front desk I give 1 star.
