  What a nasty place, blood on my pillow when I check in and wrinkled unkept sheets in the room they moved me across the hall. Don’t want to ask for another room, cause it can only get worse! Hilton anywhere in the rest of the world has worked for me. Never again in Birmingham! It’s not worth the risk! Got to give Skylar props for service, awesome person, but she doesn’t clean rooms.

  Llamé a recepción a las 2 de la tarde para avisar que llegaría al hotel después de medianoche y me dijeron que no había problema. Llegué poco después de medianoche y la recepcionista, una mujer negra de complexión robusta con trenzas africanas, se negó a abrirme la puerta para registrarme! Después de un viaje de 12 horas, tuve que buscar alojamiento de última hora en otro hotel! Me cobraron y se negaron a devolverme el dinero. Por favor, no se alojen aquí!!!!!!!

  Had such a great stay 🏨✨Although we were only here for 1 night. We were stopping by on our way to attend a football game in Tuscaloosa. Literally every Hilton hotel was sold out from T-town through Hoover and Birmingham…. When we got there, the valet Mr. John was super helpful and even helped carry our bags. Check-in with Von was friendly, quick and easy, and she gave us awesome restaurant recommendations before we headed out. The rooms were a bit dated and could use a little TLC and the beds were comfortable 😴 The only issue was a constant banging noise towards the end of the room which turned out to be the elevators , we called to the front desk and Von quickly offered to move us to a larger corner room that was way better than the previous room. She brought our new room keys and John also helped up move to our new room. The next morning Valet Sam was also extremely friendly and helped up with our belongings heading out. I’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Birmingham.

  Unfortunately, I chose to add in valet in advance and they also added the charge twice more on my bill. (This was for a single car for a single night) So far this remains unresolved after 3 calls to the hotel directly without them helping and 3 calls to their customer service line. I’ll edit my review if they fix it before I have to dispute with my credit card company. Such a waste of my time. What is crazy is this ratchet hotel took the time to respond in multiple paragraphs to this review yet still has done ZERO to rectify the DOUBLE charge on my bill. Definitely do not go to this hotel and definitely don’t let them run your card

  For a Curio level hotel this property leaves some room for improvement. Overall the room itself is clean and bed and pillows are excellent and the staff has been wonderful and accommodating. That being said, several rooms on the property don’t have windows, the gym had multiple machine out of order, my individual room lacked a smoke detector, and the WiFi is down right awful. It also isn’t in the best part of downtown so walking to local restaurants may not be preferred. I know these seem minor but when given the level of Curio there comes an expectation of quality and this property falls short on multiple level. I will again mention the staff being excellent throughout the stay.
