Amazing New Year’s Eve Experience! We worked a New Year’s Eve party at Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Downtown, and it was absolutely fantastic. The event was well-organized, energetic, and classy—exactly what you want to ring in the new year. The atmosphere was lively without being overcrowded, and the staff did an outstanding job keeping everything running smoothly throughout the night. The venue was clean, beautifully set up, and perfectly located in downtown Birmingham, making it easy to enjoy the celebration without worrying about logistics. Staff members were friendly, professional, and attentive, which really elevated the overall experience. If you’re looking for a fun, safe, and memorable place to celebrate New Year’s Eve (or host an event in general), I highly recommend this hotel. We’ll definitely be back! 🎉🥂

I am extremely frustrated that after multiple mishaps which I shared with the front desk the morning I checked out, I was promised 10K points by a manager named Diamond. She was extremely kind, however never applied the points. I called back the following week and spoke to Diamond who explained she would get it done that day, but it’s been several days since the call and still they haven’t shown up. I appreciate the desire to try and make up for the mess, but promising something as a manager, to then not follow through is extremely frustrating and a slap in the face. I was hoping to stay at this property when I come through Birmingham, as I travel every week, but don’t feel you value me as a guest.

I booked a room in advance for moms cancer treatment at UAB across the street in the morning and I have been here over 2 hours awaiting checkin. Management says the system is down but they have my reservation printed out at the desk and I have my reservation printout but no room access. I will NEVER stay at another Hilton in my life. Period. This is completely unacceptable. If you have my reservation printout you can check me in rather than worrying about getting a CC on file for incidentals. If you cannot make contingencies to work around an outage then this place is not for me. Update: After 2.5 hours of waiting we were finally given a room. Manager said since it was booked through a third party they couldn't compensate us. To Mr Shane who is the GM of this establishment...yes, I understand outages occur and I have done contract IT work with Hilton and do know their software side was probably the issue. However, for customers to have to wait hours to be booked with a reservation is not acceptable. You don't know me but I almost sent you an email while waiting for a room yesterday. I know you peruse these reviews and I only ask that a policy be in place that doesn't make customers who have already paid for a service to wait.

I am not typically one to leave bad reviews but this absolutely needs to be addressed. As it is a safety concern. We were met with rudeness and zero help with a situation that made us extremely uncomfortable. Our room had an adjoining door that does NOT lock. Also, the room on the opposite side of the adjoining door was being extremely loud and using foul language. We were uncomfortable with the door and loud neighbors combined. We called down to the front desk to ask if we could switch rooms. We were told to wait a moment and they said they would call us back. They IMMEDIATELY called the room that was being loud. As we could hear the phone ringing. Which in my opinion put us in an extremely dangerous situation as they could open their door and just push our adjoining door open. I went down to the front desk to ask if we could move our room once more. I was met with attitude and they told me they were going to make the other people move. I went back upstairs and they called the other room once more. They started hitting the walls and what sounded like jiggling the lock. Again making us extremely uncomfortable. Another member of the room went to the front desk to ask if we could please move. She was met with attitude and dismissiveness. They told her that the other people were supposed to be gathering their things and moving. This did not happen. We waited nearly an hour before we decided to leave. Within that hour they were still being extremely loud and banging around. When we left we were very polite and turned in our keys. We also contacted Hilton customer service multiple times in which every time they said they were contacting a supervisor and the call would be dropped. We were instructed by one customer service representative to go to the Redmont (Hilton). Where the call was once again dropped. Thank goodness for your employee Keilon. As he heard our situation and was able to get us a room at the Redmont. He also contacted the Hilton Garden inn and they tried to say none of this ever happened. They also told him they tried to upgrade us to a diamond and room. Which also absolutely did NOT happen. We were denied a room change every time. They also said they could not refund me. Which is extremely upsetting. I would like to add that I am pregnant and was put under extreme stress. I also had two ladies with me who are under the age of 25. We were in the middle of Birmingham with nowhere to go. Which is dangerous in and of itself in my opinion.
