DON’T WAIST YOUR MONEY!!! This hotel is in terrible shape with holes in the walls, stained carpet and furniture, a loud AC unit, scrappy breakfast and terrible water pressure This place is more like a motel 6 than a Hilton Hotel. Hilton honestly should be ashamed to even have their name on the sign. I travel a lot for work and this place is by far, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. House keeping is absolutely terrible. They literally replaced my towels only once and never cleaned my room or changed my bed linens the entire time. This was even after I made a requested at the front desk on day 3, and spoke with one of the cleaning ladies in the hall way in day 4. Nothing was ever done.

I could have put aside the run down hotel room and the awful smell through out the hotel but the service is the nail on the coffin here. We stood at the front desk with 3 other guests trying to check in and eventually everyone left out of anger but us. Finally a woman comes to desk without a care in the world. We ask for a room and she tells us "you have to book it online". We ask if we can just get one right now if there is any available? She just shakes her head no. We go outside to our car and book the room. Carry all our items back inside and she then shows us the room we booked isnt clean or ready.......... this is when I throw a bit of a fit and then she says "King bed okay"..... and booked us a room.....
Why she couldn't have done that in the first place is beyond me. Why make the guests book a room just to tell me its not ready? It seemed as though she just didnt want anyone staying at the hotel.
Horrible service, horrible smell, room ac didnt work, carpet was ripped up, mirror on wall was falling off crooked, bathroom was filthy. Will never go here again that is for sure. I wanted to complain to anyone else maybe a manager but the same lady was at the desk at checkout 12 hours later. So I believe they are understaffed or she is only person there for long periods of time.

Stayed there for a wedding and room keys did not work. Locks had to be completely changed twice. Locked out of my room with all of my luggage in side multiple times. This happened to multiple other guests as well. TV did not work. Stains and hair in bathroom. Stains and ripped furniture throughout hotel. Service was very nice and as helpful as can be, but rooms and building undeniably dilapidated.

Such a disappointment with a Hilton hotel. Hotel says it is under renovation. There were no signs of renovation. It is an extremely run down hotel. The first room on the ground floor smelled terrible. Management gave me a better room which had a faint odor to it. It was not really clean. Ceiling needed repairs. Box springs exposed. No tp holder. Poorly maintained. See photos. Advertised with business room but no computer.
Desk attendant did print some documents for me which I had to email to her but it seemed to be difficult and took a lot of time.
Good area, not a good hotel. Do not recommend and will not stay again. Sad.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The Hampton Inn in Mountain Brook is hands down the most disgusting, vile, and poorly maintained hotel I’ve ever encountered. The second we walked in, we were hit with a horrible smell — a mix of cigarette smoke, old carpet, and something I don’t even want to identify. The halls were dirty, the walls grimy, and the entire place felt neglected and unsanitary.
When we got to our room, it somehow got worse. There was hair in the sink, dust on every surface, and stains on the sheets and furniture. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in weeks, and the air conditioner coughed out a musty smell that made it impossible to breathe comfortably.
We didn’t even sleep here. After one miserable hour of trying to convince ourselves it might get better, we packed up and left to find another hotel. That’s how bad it was.
For a Hampton Inn, this place is a total disgrace. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration — go anywhere else. Sleeping in your car or on a park bench would’ve been cleaner and more relaxing than this nightmare.
