Avoid this hotel at all costs. We are Gold members and only use Embassy hotels while traveling and I recommend staying at the Drury Inn instead. It offers a full buffet dinner option at reception and 3 free drinks, the staff is amazing and its 100% better. And we never stay anywhere else but Embassy but had to stay there while in this city because of our experience here. This isnt like a typical Embassy, its more like an off brand version and I won't be shocked if sokn they are ripped away from the Hilton name. The Front desk lady was rude and uninterested. There was no bar of soaps in the room. Everyone here has a shady vibe. The cook CJ in the morning was extremely combative and defensive when I walked up to make an order because I interrupted him scrolling his phone and this issue was reported to the supervisor and front desk. He made me feel extremely unsafe. The rooms have been updated so that is why I give the hotel 2 stars. Overall, the hotel has a very shady vibe. There's a reason this place has consistant low reviews. Im not interested in the hotel replying that I should contact a number to resolve this issue either. Thats a genetic response they give to unfavorable reviews.

Make sure you bring all your permission slips if you eat or do anything here. They serve breakfast with a voucher, didn't tissue and towels for the room. When I checked in there was only a tiny bit of tissue left in the room with room partially cleaned.

Beautiful hotel on the inside and the rooms are extremely spacious. The main highlight of the stay was how accommodating the staff were! From the moment I arrived, Janet was so kind! I ended up having to switch rooms in the middle of the night because I was freezing, and no matter how much I turned up the thermostat, it would only blow cold air. Come to find out that all their systems are EITHER on 'AC mode' or 'Heat mode'. To switch the mode, someone from maintenance has to come and do it. Since it is Fall, they have not switched all their systems to Heat because some customers still prefer AC. I went to the front desk staff at midnight so maintenance had already left. But that did not stop the gentleman at the front desk (can't remember his name) from helping me. He switched me to a different room no problem and was very kind about it.

If youre wondering why the reviews are so low, read this. This is like a knock off version of what Embassy Suites would offer. The service is subpar. Staff is unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't be surprised if this hotel is removed of its Embassy name soon. It feels unsafe, its dirty in the lobby area. The beds are comfortable and the room we stayed in was updated! So that was a plus. The snacks at reception were good but the pop machine was broken so there were no drinks. The vibes are off. We paid $160 for 1 night, i would not recommend paying more than this. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. CJ the cook there was scrolling his phone, very rude and unprofessional and was a terrible cook. The breakfast was the worst! The eggs were all undercooked and the sausages were burnt. I reported CJ the cooks behavior to the front desk supervisor. He was extremely unsettling to deal with and it made us feel unsafe. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I would recommend The Drury instead. It also offers suites with a reception and breakfast and the reviews are much higher

Embassy Suites advertises an approachable, upscale experience with dedicated service and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations every stay. However, on October 19, 2025, the Front Desk Manager and Housekeeping staff at the Birmingham location failed to adhere to standard communication protocols and utilize the hotel’s Lost and Found procedures. Staff entered my room without my consent while I was not present on the property, and failed to communicate with me at any time regarding unauthorized entry to my room, the packing and removal of all my belongings from my room, and the replacement of items back in my room. A blatant failure to follow established hotel policies regarding guest privacy and the security of personal property resulted in items being stole because staff quite literally went through all of our belongings packing it up without our knowledge or consent. As guests of this hotel, these unacceptable and inexcusable actions taken by the staff here not only compromised our privacy but also created a deeply unsettling and lasting concern for our personal safety for the remainder of our stay. We entrusted Embassy Suites by Hilton Birmingham with our safety and privacy but left feeling betrayed, vulnerable, and deeply shaken. The heinous actions taken by the staff to beach security protocols were entirely preventable. This incident has completely shattered my trust in hotel staff. I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever feel safe leaving my belongings in a hotel room again. The sense of violation and helplessness I felt is something I’ll carry with me every time I travel. Stay at your own risk!
