The Graduate required a large room block at a rate that matched public pricing, meaning guests had no incentive to book through the block while we carried all the financial risk. Despite providing ample notice and having very low pickup, a common reality with weddings, the hotel refused to make any meaningful accommodations or adjustments. The lack of flexibility and empathy during an already stressful planning process was extremely frustrating. I would strongly advise future wedding couples to carefully review the room block terms and understand that changes in guest attendance may not be met with any accommodation. This was not the supportive experience we hoped for.

They upgraded our room due to low demand after graduation, and were flexible on our checkout date as we didn’t know when we would be leaving. We ended up staying six night and were met with nothing but kindness and grace whenever we entered or exited the hotel. Will definitely stay here again whenever we need to overnight in Auburn!
