I had booked the hotel for my husband and brother in law as a weekend away present for their birthday. I had booked through Trivago as standard 2 queen beds room so I thought, Apperently When we got to hotel and went to check in I was told I book a king suite room. I asked if there was a 2 queen room available to which there wasn’t. So my brother in law slept on the pull out couch which was awful! Was so thin the springs made popping sounds every time he rolled over, and only had a thin blanket for warmth and wasn’t cleaned well under the pull out.Was also filthy by the elevator and not cleaned all weekend. The breakfast however was well done, but not sure breakfast alone would make me want to go back!

Disappointing cleanliness and response
At our recent stay, the room was not properly cleaned. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve experienced issues at this property, as there have been previous concerns with hair, dirt, and overall cleanliness.
We checked in late last night with very tired kids, only to find that one of the beds was not clean, along with other cleanliness issues in the room. Because of this, four of us were forced to sleep in one small double bed, which made for an extremely uncomfortable and poor night’s sleep.
We contacted management to report the issue, but the response was disappointing. We were simply told the feedback would be shared with the team, with no immediate solution or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.
Given the repeated cleanliness issues and lack of meaningful response, this stay was especially frustrating and fell well below expectations.

Love this hotel! It’s so great for families - convenient location, affordable rooms, affordable deposit. The breakfast is the best continental we have had in a long time! Pool stays open until 12. The suite is perfect for a family of 5+. Clean, comfortable. Extremely satisfied with the entire experience.

Hosted Christmas 2025 here and I could not be happier with the service and venue space. I am extremely happy with the flexibility, kindness, and ease in the process of arranging events here. To sir Dave Lindop, big thank you for allowing me to host my event here. To the front desk staff, you guys always had a smile on your face when I needed help. In writing this review, I'm tainted by the fact that we were not satisfactorily looked after when we arrived and asked to fix a problem with our booking. We booked two rooms using Expedia. We accidentally ordered two king-sized rooms instead of one with two queens. We had two people in one and three in another. When we called Expedia to make the change they told us to call the hotel. When we arrived we ask if we could make the change. There was NO way would they accommodate us! It had been booked through Expedia. They couldn't make an exception. Why? Wasn't Expedia paying them for our two rooms? As a result, my tall son had to sleep on a short pull out sofa. Regardless of who managed the booking, would it be the end of the world to swap our room? We would have easily paid more, if required. This decision by the hotel is not at all customer focused. It was not because they were full, rather it was because they didn't want to help us out despite we were their paying customers. That is, we paid money to stay at their hotel. BTW, we were regular Home2Suites customers when traveling to Edmonton. Very disappointing Home2Suites! Better to support a more customer focused hotel!
