edit: in the 2 days since i posted my review, the internet has gone out 4 times
to start they want to deliver equipment to the house for the initial appointment instead of the tech bringing it with him. that felt sketchy to me. xfinity is quite literally the only company that offers a gig, not even fiber internet, in my area. when calling other internet companies to see when they would be available in my area, i spoke to a frontier rep. they told me they were hoping to have fiber available in my area in 2026. when i expressed my concerns with xfinity shipping the equipment to the house (that was, at the time, unoccupied and since we had no clue when our closing date would be, nor could xfinity tell me when i could expect it to be delivered), the frontier rep offered to call and set the appointment up for me at xfinity and have them send the equipment with them. i told her i had already asked about that many times but she was somehow able to get it done and get it done fast.
that was about 5-6 months ago. we moved into the new house in june and the tech was there the day we closed on the house. while we were grateful for that, the tech also broke the hinge on our attic ladder. we thought he was really cool when he was here. he left without telling
us he broke it.
fast forward to now, december 2025, and our internet goes out multiple times a day, almost daily. we cannot communicate with anyone from xfinity outside of a chat box. if we try to call, we only get robots and silence on the other line no matter how hard you try to use thr bot or stay on hold for a representative.
quite literally the absolute worst company i've ever had the displeasure of giving my hard earned money to.

The store experience was great and quick. When we got home the service wouldn't work due to having been disconnected by the homes previous owner, I believe. When the tech gets us up and running we will see how the actual service performs.

I just walked into the Xfinity store on 6th avenue in Huntington, WV and I was not greeted. There are two employees and one customer being serviced and me standing waiting to be recognized. Two employees walked in and they were immediately approached by Adam and I still have not been acknowledged.
The employees finally realized I was in the store.
The individual that's waiting on me, Adam keeps assisting with the other customer in the store while I continue to wait for him to get back to me. This has NOT been a good experience thus far.
Adam quoted a price of $187 and sent me a text to approve the package. I opened the text and the price jumped up to $233.38. Supposedly, Adam forgot to add some taxes. Now it appears the system is supposedly down and Adam can't assist me any longer, so I must come back another day if I choose to still have Comcast. I think I'll go with someone else. Its sad when you don't have very many cable companies in the area. you
