My hot spot has never worked outside the Verizon store, I can't get a human to answer when you call for customer service. I went in over a month ago to have the hot spot removed from my account and it never happened. . .so I'm now I'm paying for a hot spot for months that has never worked. It's bad when the hot spot on your phone is better than the one you have a whole separate device for. Every time I came in they would just give me a new sim card (that went on for months) and clearly didn't fix the problem. It wasn't worth the 1% better coverage I had. At least T mobile has great international service and free wifi on flights. My bill with verizon would fluctuate wildly for no reason too.

The good experience.
Vincent, at the North Division Corporate location starting on Sunday, Jan 5th, 2025, gave me his undivided attention. Over 2 days and 6-8 hours of phone calls and discovery, he can see several business applications and my port transfer of the 4-lines pending due to no active account to land.
He tried finishing any of the applications, and the system continued to block his progress or went into an error loop.
Since a specific business account specialist team doesn't work on Sundays we scheduled an appointment for the next day to continue our frustrating journey.
On Monday, I drive again 1 hour 1-way to the Verizon Store for our appointment. After 3 hours of phone calls, Vincent was finally able to finish my business account application, get through the formal business credit check, resolve the port transfer problem of the 4-lines, and lastly, get the account registered with Verizon so that we can progress to buying some phones and selecting a plan.
I was completely amazed at Vincent's tenacity and dedication to resolving my problem (see below).
Especially, for a tiny small business owner that wouldn't pop up on anyone's radar.
I felt like a VIP.
I cannot thank and appreciate him enough for fixing a dozen other agents' half-work, resulting in system problems.
If Verizon Corporate ever sees this review, Vincent deserves "Associate Of The Year" with a big reward. Even though we are only on January 6th, 2025.
The bad experience.
Since December 31st, I have been working online and with corporate customer service to open a Verizon Business Account for my small business of 4 years. It started with a simple online business application, business credit verification, owner identity verification, and lastly port over my 4 Verizon consumer lines. The cell phone port transfer failed a bunch of times, and I realized that I did not receive a "Verizon Business Account Welcome Email," which contains my account number and online login details.
I contacted Verizon online chat, which directed me to call Customer Service. As they see my business account application didn't finish registering.
I called customer service, and stayed on hold for 40 minutes, waiting for a business account specialist... Called disconnected.
Called customer service again a day later. Transferred to a business account specialist after 25 minutes. I explained the situation, but this agent could not help because my account had already started. A different specialist is required to finish my application. Upon transferring to the next specialist, you guessed it! Call disconnected. No call-back from Verizon.
When I called customer service again, the automated operator hung up on me because it could not figure out what my complicated problem was to connect me to the right department.
Calling customer service again, next generic agent starts transfer to New Business Account Services. Again, Business Services needed to transfer me to a specialist. I connected to the correct specialist, he saw my business account problem, and he had to call another department to work some kind of magic to begin fixing the problem from his end.
This specialist said, "We need to complete your business account registration. After that, you will get the Welcome Email and be able to login to the website." Cool, now we are getting somewhere! Back on hold while he worked the problem.
The line goes dead. AWESOME!!!
A total of 100 minutes on the phone that night.
Called customer service another day later. Get through the next 4 agents until I get to a specialist. This guy says, "Let's start your application over. The previous application is all messed up." Grind through the application again on the phone and needs to transfer to the credit department. Start verifying my business identity and the line drops again.
Mind you I have not moved from my home work area on any of these calls. I also have a stable fiber internet connection and a robust cellular signal booster. I take my technology very, very seriously. There is no opportuni
