T.Dec 18, 20241.0Spent 3 hours working back and forth in this store and on the phone, plus multiple days of going to the store just to process an exchange within my 30 day return policy due to a malfunctioning phone I received. Should be fairly simple right? Well, I was told by multiple people at Verizon to go ahead and trade in my old phone, and that I’d be sent the replacement phone and return the malfunctioning phone in the same box upon receiving it. 3 hours later, I am now being told I need to send in my malfunctioning phone and be WITHOUT a phone until they have received my phone and then, only then, can I place an order for a new replacement. How I’m supposed to order a replacement without a phone, I don’t know. But Verizon is incredibly predatory and I say this as someone who’s worked in customer service for years. On the phone I have been tossed around by 5+ people, and was put on the phone to deal with this mess by this store! This is after being asked to pay $1,114 for the phone because their system wouldn’t let them replace my phone, so now i’m expected to just come up with the amount for the entire phone which I didn’t even pay for the first one?! How a company can care so little about their customers baffles me, but then again this is what happens when companies get too big to have consequences for mistreatment. I’ve been a customer of Verizon for as long as i’ve been alive. I really have no words.
