    I can't with any confidence recommend Astound Wifi. I am paying for the 1gig download/50Mb upload and am not even receiving half of the download, and a MAX of 10Mb upload (most of the time it is capping at around 5 to 6). I work online and their "service" is seriously affecting my ability to work. I have had their technition come out, we have replaced the router, tried hardline (ethernet) and wifi connections, and nothing has worked. If Astound fixes this issue (which has been going on for almost 2 months), then I will adjust my review; however, I am telling you this now: If you can get a different ISP, GET IT!!

    Ray was very professional. He went around and checked pretty much all the main connections that needed to be addressed and chain to change a few wires, making sure everything was tight and cut professionally. Ray was very personal and talkative and explained everything that he was doing throughout the whole Experience.

    Wifi has been out 8 days this month, and has been a reoccurring issue since February. We pay for the "full package" 1.5 gig speeds and hardly see 400 mbs. Still have to pay full price for the month when the internet is down for issues outside of our equipment happen very frequently. It has made working extremely difficult and customer support can never help you the same or following day leading to constant multi day outages. It's just about better to Hotspot all the time instead of using their services.

    The only thing “Astound”ing here is how bad the service is. I have a gaming buddy who lives in their coverage area and he is routinely without internet for multiple hours. Always dropping from matches, can’t play certain games with us because the coverage is so spotty, etc. They’re actually on day two of a total outage right now and Astound isn’t even sending a tech out for another day. Oh, and they pay $90 a month. Advertised as 1.5 gbps and they get 400 on a good day, assuming it doesn’t totally drop at some point for god knows how long. Astound? You should be Ashamed. The tales of your mediocrity have reached central Texas—truly impressive. Do better.

    The internet is constantly dropping completely. I have lost service multiple times for more than 12 hours at a time. If I'm not completely losing service for long periods, I am losing service for short periods, close to 15 times a day. If you call for maintenance, it just gives you AI that sends a reset signal and then hangs up. I have had numerous techs visit the property and try to fix the issue, but all of them have said it's not the house that's the issue. I wish I never did service with them, and I wouldn't have if they didn't provide the only service worth getting in the area. This seriously needs to be adjudicated. I will never conduct business with this company again.
