After 22 minutes, I finally got a live person who seemed to understand my question "is the Xfinity store in Rutland Vermont open and is there a live person there to receive my returned cable box? He said he would check, "please stay on the line" and then he came back and said he's waiting for someone in the store to confirm that I can return the cable box. 45 Minutes!!! - and not done yet! That's WHY I cancelled my cable service last month!

Was returning equipment that belonged to my Mother after she passed, after 5 phone calls to the corporate offices to settle the account and different information provided each time, we were told what exact equipment needed to be returned, collected it and headed to the Rutland location. Upon arrival, after a 40 minutes wait the majority of which the person working the desk was BSing with a friend who had come in to pick out a new phone, we were told that all of the equipment was not accounted for, despite having confirmed it 3 times with the corporate folks. As a result of this experience I will be cancelling all o my Comcast services as well, it's just not worth the hassle when there are so many other options out there.
