- AFArlene FiorellaMar 2, 20251.0I don’t even want to give this place 1 star. I went to the Queens mall because I was having problems syncing my phone and iPad. I am 87 years old and it was 30 degrees out. I had to take a bus there and it was 30 degrees. When I got there I asked the greeter for help. He told me that I had no appointment and to come back during the week. Well, I am a caregiver to my husband and I explained this. He insisted I could not get any help. I was near tears but he could care less. I went outside and called Verizon. They told me that there was nothing they could do for me except to walk me through the problem. I could not do this on the phone as it’s too confusing for me. I was also advised that that store is not a Corporate Retailer but are using the Verizon name. Verizon has no control over them. I left and happened. to pass Apple and not knowing if they could help me I went in. They were so kind and happy to help me and solve my issues. They also told me that that store sends many customers to them and that they do not want to work. They are really a detriment to Verizon. When you allow franchises to operate in your name you will certainly lose customers. They did not even tell me I could get help at the Spell store a few doors down.
